When can my daughter’s NRP be reassessed?

September 16, 2012

Could you please tell me at what point can the absent parent of my daughter be reassessed. She suspect he is now earning a lot more than he was assessed for. From an aprentis to a collier working a 223 shift pattern.

She has been told you can’t reassess before a certain date. Is this true or do you have an obligation to follow up her concerns?

    Mike fear,

Under current rules the CSA will perform a reassessment when either party contacts the CSA to inform them of a change of circumstances.

Not all changes of circumstances will mean a to change the amount of CS that should be paid. They may not change the amount of CS unless their income varies by 5% or more.
