CSA wants to send me to prison

June 25, 2011

Dear CSA.com,

Firstly, thank you for your Wedsite. I will try and keep my story as brief as possible, but believe me, I could write a book, as there are many issues of concern which affect many parents across the country.

My letter to you and your readers is about an ongoing problem with the ‘Child Support Agency’, that has been going on for the last seven years. I would like to ask you and your members if they have encountered similar problems as my partner and me, in the hope that I may be able to help and advice in any way so they can avoid the problems we have encountered, and also hear what you have to say.

Before I start, my children are very healthy and my partner and I have a wonderful relationship with them, we love and give as much as we possibly can and make sure they are taken care of. I have always paid Read more

I have paid nearly £2000 for a child that wasnt mine

June 25, 2011

I really need some advice.

Just recently i have had a DNA test done by Cellmark which confirmed that the child i have thought was mine for a year and a half is not.

I have been paying child maintenance since July 2010 but have now stopped since the results came back. I have paid a total of £1850. Now i have sent several letters to the CSA telling them that i want this money back however i have now been told that if i did not dispute parentage from the beginning then the are not liable to refund me the money. Basically saying that i have just blown nealy £2000 on a child that isnt mine.

Can i take them to court over this or should i go after my ex??

CSA is so wrong

June 24, 2011

A short story why this week i take my boys out and buy them suits for there prom whitch cost me £300.Then get phone call from the csa telling me i owe a payment. I will pay this friday 17/06/2011.

It just seems unfair, when i get letters from the CSA saying if i pay eg for there suits then the CSA will forget the payment to there mum.

Do you think she will tell the CSA this? I dont so it would be nice to hear the CSA’s reply, yours Mr j.c Fenton

CSA failed to secure payment from NRP

June 24, 2011

My marriage failed and I was left after period of time with the sole care of our child. When contact with the father stopped I had to reduce my hours to part time in order to parent my child, I did not have a child for it to be raised by a child minder. As such maintenance became a much needed income. This then stopped also, leaving my child with one parent on a low income. Very little of the required level of maintenance for the past two years has been paid, nothing at all since April 2010. These payments or the lack there of were over seen by the CSA. My Childs father has his own company and has chosen to pay himself minimum wage so as to avoid payment of maintenance. I have advised the CSA of his life style, potential business turnover – which could vary from £750k to £5 million based on the details in his business website and actual address, his three possible residences and number plates for his BMW M3, Porsche, Range Rover, family caravan…………….. But apparently they accept his declared income of £126.50 a week and advise that I must prove his income.

We are divorced, totally estranged, I was unaware of his finances and mistress when we were married, he lied about it all through our divorce court hearings, so I haven’t a clue about his life nearly four years on, – how precisely am I Read more

CSA takes money direct from bank

June 23, 2011

I just want to know if anyone knows where he stands or what can he do my friend recieved a phone call back in late 2003 from the csa saying he owes money for his children when he spent several hours on phone he finally got arrangement of payment sorted he was only 20 at the time and didnt understand much of it just paid what he was told to pay he asked the pwc for access which was very limited it eventually came to demanding more and more money which he stupidly kept handing her he bought everything for the children but still wasnt good enough after 4 months of paying his ex requested that he sleeps with her on her request or he will never see the kids again he refused to give in to her demands and access became less and less to eventually none but still yet contiued to pay

About a month later he had been told one night that his ex was having a party with the kids in the house he went over and found the children upstairs i Read more

Child Support Agency asks me to get loan for arrears

June 23, 2011

My ex got CSA involved in my payments to her.

Now i dont have a problem with this and they sent me the forms in jan 2009 so i filled in the forms and sent them off at the end of jan 2009.

I then did not get any contact from them an till june/july 2010. As you can imagin this built up areers of £1600.

I could not believe it! They even asked if i could take a loan out to pay it or get a friend/family member to pay for it (how rude is this).

So i got a payment plan through of £204 a month with £96 of that being the normal monthly payment. To me this is discusting i cant hardly afford to live, im on minimum wage and this is without paying my parents rent….The whole so called ‘FAIR SYSTEM’ for both parents is a disgrace.

So i get the blame, stress and hard life for a year just because they took so long to get back to me.

There should be a fairer system for people in areers if it was CSA’s fault that the areers are so high!!!!

CSA enforcement demand

June 22, 2011

I have received a demand for payment enforcement order from the CSA. This is not the first, indeed it is the third. The problem I have is that they keep switching locations and sending demands for maintainence that has already been paid.

I have provided evidence of all payments made – both through the agency and volentarily, yet still get demands for sums they claim as outstanding or unpaid.

I have already made his issue know to the then minister of the DWP in 2008 and find two years after in 2010 and again now the same demands for money. I am frustrated by the empathy of the CSA agents and the general incompetence when it comes to finding documents that they have had over and over again to support my case.

Gone to the Independent Case Examiner

June 22, 2011

I first contacted the CSA in 2003 after I returned from working abroad. I separated from my husband in April 2001 and it was only in 2003 that I truly knew the marriage was over and filed for divorce. I had never received any maintenance during that time. My divorce was absolute by 2004. Since that time my ex husband frequently took jobs abroad to avoid the CSA and paying maintenance so I have never received anything. CSA sent me a letter at one point in 2003 saying I would be paid a certain amount each week but my ex husband simply went abroad again and I never saw anything from the CSA.

In February 2011 I finally started to receive £178 per fortnight, £128 entitlement with £50 arrears – which totalled over £3,000, (actual arrears being in excess of £35,000 but I’ll never see that). I rang CSA to check if this was actually going to Read more

CSA is slow and useless

June 21, 2011

I went to the CSA 2 years ago after me and my partner split up and so far I have recieved £40 (and this was only because he was on benefits).

First he lied and claimed he was self employed, only recieving £160 per week, which is less than minimum wage, had the CSA bothered to look at his tax payments this would have been disaproved. Then in January I contacted for the 100th time to hear the progress of my case I was told that they were a few weeks behind and still dealing with December’s cases and Read more

CSA has made up arrears I do not owe

June 21, 2011

I lost contact with two daughters about a year ago. It all happened the same time as having a new child being made bankcrupt and having to leave my home.

The last two happened because of bad decisions by myself, the first was out of my hands.

I looked after my first two daughters well when I had them as my business was successful and i worked contracts in London I still had a few days home to take them out and enjoy their company.

In 2006 and 2008 I gave their mother motor cars instead of money as it would help her out, the first with a business she was starting. The second as a threat to loose access to them. This considering one daughter was actually 18 so should be making that decision herself.

Since the loss of my business home and everything else, their mother decided to pursue Read more
