‘Shambles’ CSA admits another mistake
I have had contact with the CSA as a PWC and an NRP. I have been treated differently on both counts. My ex went to the CSA when I turned down her over zealous demand for far too much money from me. I paid Child support from day one. I counter claimed and she was ‘let off’ her responsibility for the child living with me for two years. One rule for me, different rules for her, but thats the shambolic CSA! Over ten years I have had to complain persisitently and in 2005, a report concluded that the CSA had made 15 mistakes with my case 5 of which were serious bordering on criminal. It gets better, in 2009 I informed them that a child was out of the system aged 19. They wrote to me stating that THEY had made a mistake with my case and that I owed £7000 in arrears.
I believe this to be a blatant lie to scr-w more money out of me to earn staff bonuses! The CSA then dumped a DEO on my income. They are a total shambles and a disgrace! I appealed to a tribunal and the ajudicator was a ‘planted’ solicitor employed by and acting for the CSA. He stated that he “had no jurisdiction regarding arrears“. A blatantly rigged tribunal!
My ex has had two large inheritances from her late mother and uncle of arounf £60,000 I have paid £77,000 in divorce and to date £23,000 in child support. My question are these? Financial matters regarding my children are absolutely nothing to do with a run for profit company created by untrustworthy politicians? I have all ready paid taxes into the system for 35 years. Why am I being asked to pay again by picking up the tab for my ex tax credit claims? What of the absent parents who have NEVER paid. £40 million written off in N.Ireland, million of other NRP’s untraceable and yet I am a repeated target for grade 2 office staff. If this is not discrimination I don’t know what is? I am waiting for any Supreme court case to take place based upon this and then I will lodging my claim for repayment of all of my money, plus interest, compensation and damages.
It will be for me then to make provision for my children and not a run for profit company that is in turmoil, costing the taxpayer millions in Executive salaries and staff bonuses. Billions spent on failed I.T. systems. If anyone would like to ask what the alternative is, try mediation and the courts, because this bureaucratic mess is only causing discern and consternation between parents and children all for the sake of the public purse!

You had my sympathy there for a while until you started talking about the CSA as a ‘run for profit company’!

Totally agree there John. CSA should be closed down. How do they justify the amount of money they spend I have no clue what so ever. And yeah, there is a high level there of injustice and discrimination. I am not shocked at what they have put you through. And I know this might sound silly and unreal, coming from a woman and all, but it’s all been made about the damned money. No one seems to be bothered about the child anymore. The mother’s don’t care, they just want the cash so they can go and buy some wine while the kid’s doing God knows what in whatever corner of the house, the father is desperately trying to avoid the CSA who is more sexist than a sexist thing, so they can at least hold on to their dignity when the child starts looking for them in the hope that they’ll find something to look up to and not a failure because all of his work and efforts were put down by the CSA and the greedy ex, and the CSA oh well…. is the CSA. All this rubbish should be settled in courts. Families have rights, children have rights, parents have rights and all of those also have responsibilities. THAT represents a court matter at the point where husband and wife fail to reach an agreement. It should not be left in the hands of an incompetent wanna be called institution as the CSA where everything is a case of… oh so she said and he said, we’ll take her word against his. 😀
Let me tell you something… my husband failed to qualify for overnight discount because the CSA decided to ask his 4 year old son if he saw daddy or not and when! And the kid, over the phone, told them what mummy was whispering in his little ear. In a court a child’s opinion can not be taken into account until the age of 7, at least. WTF???? And how can they claim they do things in the child’s best interest when over a phone they asked him questions about mummy’s relationship with daddy and daddy’s relationship with him and who’s telling porky pies really does go beyond my power of understanding. THAT surely causes damage for a child and how bloody unheard of is that anyway???????
They need shutting down! Honestly…
We have paid maintenance every month for this child ever since he was born even if it meant we didn’t have enough to eat at times, up until the CSA came down on us. And I have a little boy as well and I would not allow anyone to ask him those sort of questions ever. My ex should be paying child maintenance as a court order states, cos there is a court order in place, no bloody CSA agreement, and he doesn’t.
I never went back to court with him. Instead I have decided to work as hard as I can to provide a decent life and education for my son as none of it is his fault and he does deserve the very best. And as a grown up, surely I should be able to realize that if my child can’t count on me, the parent with full custody and responsible fully for him, well really, who is he going to rely on? Mother nature???
There has been a patern created here sadly…. sleep with someone, get pregnant, scr*w them over for money cos they can support you forever with the amount of cash you can get from them.
It’s sad. The kids should come first… It’s not money these kids are missing. It’s time, love and the security only a proper, stable family can offer.

I too think the CSA is a shambles! fathers who walk away from their responsibilities should absolutely pay for the children that they leave behind only the CSA do not make them pay though! Instead they pick on the good hard working honest people who have in all senses had their children taken away from them by mothers who use them like a pawn in a game of chess! Where are the fathers rights in all this mess? If you are on a middle class income you are not entitled to free legal help but yet cannot afford the help to fight to see your children yet the CSA make you cough up money for them even when you are struggling to support the family at home. Every case should be looked at individually and circumstances taken into account, for want of a better way of putting it, my partner may aswell have been a sperm donor at least that way he would have been paid for his services and not the other way around.
Warning to all men, put something on it or spend forever paying for the consequences!!
And to those women who have done this to men shame on you, your children have a right to know who their father is especially if he is paying to raise them!!
