My ex has paid but CSA has kept my money
I am a mother with two children and have been paid regularly for the last five years. In January the ammount i’m supposed to recieved did not go into my account.
I have called i have chased, one minute Stockport are dealing with my case then it is Plymouth, then Bolton. I am so frustrated with this situation but my ex partner has paid me and it is sitting in there system.
So far they have £600.00 of my money but keep saying someone will get back to me. I am at my wits end i do not know who to talk to or who will hwlp me but it just seems no one is taking responibility for an obvious negligence.
Please help me i do not know what to do.
The money is in the CSA’s account but no-one will put it in mine.
HELP i do not know who to spek to.

Hi Clare,
If you haven’t already, escalate your case to a complaint – you can do this by sending an email from the CSA website, you will get a receipt for your email which you should keep copies of.
If you have a good relationship with your ex, it may be worth asking them to make a complaint about this also, as they have paid and their child/ren have not received.
– send a copy to your local MP and ask for their assistant.
Good luck.
I’m in the same boat. My ex’s payroll dept situated in INDIA!!! for the NHS apparently according to the C.S.A refuse to speak to them about £450 that they owe me. Constantly my money is going in late and now my money is in arrears. The NHS take it every week from him and send in the payments in bulk along with everyone else’s monthly.Just think of all the interest this will accumulate and none of it goes to us. The N.H.S keep that and according to the C.S.A its common practice. For weeks and many a tearful phone call to the C.S.A i have begged them to do something and they are always going to phone me back and never do.. Just this morning i phoned my ex’s payroll myself and they assured me that they wouldn’t be dogging phone calls from the C.S.A and they always answer all queries from them within 3 days. I am at my wits end. I cant pay my bills and none of them seem to care.
If you have a good relationship with your ex the consider maintanance direct. This is what me and ex wife have done after similar problems.
My employer deducted £420 from my wages every month with out fail.. This was then forwarded to tyhe CSA immediately.
The figure my ex partner gets varies every month but ranges between £200 and £320. The CSA could never give us a straight answer on were the remainder was going.
We have now gone on to Maintanence dircect meaning i pay the £420 directly into her bank account.
This still leaves an awful lot of money that has gone missing. The CSA’s own breakdown of payments they have sent me shows this figure as a negative balance. but no one at the CSA seems to want to help. The only reason given to me was that maybe this money was owed to the chancillor of the ex chequer. even though my ex wife never recieved any benifits.
At least now my ex wife gets every penny I give her.
