I work for the CSA and I’d like offer advice

Hi

I have just read a post from ‘Susan’ who works at the CSA and i must say i’m appalled by her post- it was very unprofessional and very provoking.

I also work at the agency and i would like to help answer any questions that i can and i will answer them honestly. There is a lot of confusion surrounding the agency, what we do, how we do it etc and im happy to try and help some people if i ca.

    Can you please explain why there is the systemic failure of the CSA to get calculations correct, to understand their own rules and to treat people fairly?

    Please explain to me why there are still people on CS1 assessments after 7 YEARS of CS2 being in operation?

    Please explain to me after repeated requests to be transferred to CS2 that this will not happen to me?

    Please explain to me why I feel that I am being victimised over the refusal to betransferred to CS2?

    Please explain to me why the CSA constantly victimise NRPs ?

    Please explain to me why there is no effective manangement structure within the agency?

    Please explain to me why the communication process from the agency is so disorganised?

    Please explain to me why assessments take so long to perform?

    Please explain to me why and how arrears are calculated?

    Please explain to me why the NRP is not allowed to conduct a fair enquiry as to why they are being issued with A DEO, when on the computer system it clearly shows that all payments are up to date?

    Please explain to me why the Agency constantly take the side of the PWC when she demands more money, the NRP has to pay for it.

    Please explain to me why the Agency is not targeting the NRPs who do not pay their child maintenance, yet they are happy and more than willing to target the NRPS WHO DO PAY, WHO ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR THEIR CHILDREN?

    Please explain to me why the Agency has wasted so much money on computer systems that do not work?

    Please explain to me why you demand payment from a debit or credit card when you are not FSA trained advisors?

  3. Please also read the post about the CSA staff worker telling fathers to commit suicide.

    Then you will have a decent picture of why this agency is so hated.

    Please take the time to read all the posts on here about the horror stories that people have to go through because of your employer.

    All people want is to have a fair assessment and to be left alone to conduct and get on with their lives. They cant do this because of your emmployer.

    I hope that you direct your managers to this website and they have the gumption to read, digest and understand the problems that has been created.

    I hope that they have the gumption, the bravery to say to their managers .. this is wrong what we are doing, lets put it right.

    And please dont patronise me or anybody else who uses this website by saying ” we are only working within the framework of the law”

    You know the law is wrong, we know the law is wrong.. stand up and be counted.

  4. Please explain why I feed suicidal, even though I pay, and I still can’t afford to see my kids?.

    Please explain why the interactions with the “agency” have been …at best shocking & condescending.

  5. Please can you explain why the agency is allowed to take upto 40% of a NRP wages via a DEO without having to prove the debt is correct BUT when it comes to the Self Employed you have to be granted a LO by the courts before you can take further action?

    Ah well.. food is such an over rated luxury… as long as the child maintenance and the arrears get paid… that is the main thing.

    Cant seem to be waisting money on such frivolous luxuries as food for myself…

    At least I have just had my reassessment back. They have so kindly dropped it by £16 per week… thank you, I will endeavour not to spend that whole £16 on such frivolous items….

    I have just asked for my arrears to be recalculated as well… had a nasty demand letter this morning wanting £642 off me .. yet they still havent sent out a payment schedule for me yet, they still havent recalculated my arrears to show hosuing costs and back dated it to when the assessment was to take place from… that should clear £386 off my now rising arrears total…

    They are claiming they havent been paid this month yet, bad news.. neither have I… wages dont get paid for another 12 days, then you will get your money… as I say .. Un frigging lucky….

    Yet the money will be taken from the wages via deo…. dont they know how to read, or communicate…

    The list goes on and on and on and on…. and they wonder why they are hated and loathed so much !!!!

    What do you think should or could be done to change the CSA in order to make it a fairer system for all concerned????

    No thank you, not from you or any of your colleagues.

    Let me give you advice, you should all go on customer service courses and learn how to communicate with people.

    As Graeme said read the stories on this website and if any of you have a heart or concience then get your act together and start treating the genuine Fathers with respect.

    The case worker on my partners case is absolutely disgusting. Her comment ‘you have assets and we are coming to get them’ and You are eligable for credit so go and get a loan to pay us back’
    I myself in my own career work with the public every day and I could never in my wildest dreams make such horrible comments like that no matter what the situation is.

    You or your colleagues havent a clue what its like to be on the other side and believe me you have caused so much heart ache, pain and cause so many people to have nervous breakdowns with your bully tactics.

    There are times I cant even read some of the stroies as they are too upsetting.

    My advice to you would be at your next team meeting (Oh you probably dont have any of them) to actually read out some of the stories printed on this website but then again if you did instead of being sympathetic all of you would probably give a round of applause, slapping each other on the back saying YES we have another man or woman almost suicidal.

  9. I work for ME and I'd like to offer you some advice.. Thanks for the help that you offer, whilst I appreciate your post and spirit of assistance – sadly for you I'd close the shambles that you represent and you would be given your marching orders. The agency costs £500m a year to administer – hardly a surpise changes will be made – I'd hold various people to account for the 60 or so people who have killed themselves and the hundreds if not thousands left ruined – the children who don't see their (fathers as is mostly the case) due to rows caused by the CSA hounding etc etc .. rant rant etc etc…

  10. coudnt agree more never see my daughter now cos what the csa have done as far as i am concerned it should be closed down and the money put to better use we all know its not working just wish the govemnent could see this instead of making us work for minimum wages blah blah blah could go on and on but i carnt even be arsed sending the csa a free txt so as for you susan and the rest of the csa scum ram your advise up ur arse cos i no ive been shafted

I'd like to ask you how an ex partner can get away with stopping a NRP from having children over night when they have for over 3 years – just to get more money – and the CSA say they can't take that into account? And how come CSA2 cases state they don't take the new partner's income into account but then take the child tax credits?? The CSA break up families and cause financial strain. Yes – NRP's should pay for their children, but the system for doing so is all wrong.

  13. Juliet this is what we have been asking and as of 2day it hasn't been answered. We are struggling now and giving monthly payments to his ex who could work full time but choses not to, We have a 3 yr old and she will suffer. I have told my husband that if we have another cold winter the csa can get stuffed, His ex told lie after lie and the csa took her side as always i am fed up with the incompetence of the csa. the pwc need to be treated just like the nrp does then they would have something to moan about. A child is created by 2 people not 1.

There is NO confusion as to what the Child Abuse Agency is about, it is all about preventing the nrp from seeing there children by financial means, this agency is feminist and marxist in it's intentions !!!Couple this with the gross incompetence maladministration and blatant and premeditated abuse of millions of children through it's actions.Is it any wonder why this is the most hated regime since the SS and the concentration camps !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. And then child maintenance should go back to the court system whereby both parties situations are taken into account and a FAIR assessment is made for arrears and maintenance.

  19. I'm a caring loving parent who would never ever work for the CSA knowing what harm and destruction they cause tp peoples lives . not for a million pounds …. they are ALL child abusers and murderers and the FACTS speak for themselves :-/

  20. If they had any decency about them at the very least they would ALL commit suicide for there unforgivable abuse of our children.Personally i would happily blow up every single csa office when they are working !!!!!!!!!!!!!Report that back to your bosses !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. well i would like a answer to this my case was closed 4 years ago with no arrears but the csa came to me this year saying i owed ten thousand pounds in arrears because i was not paying enough when i was paying them work that one out CSA

    while your intention appears to be unmotiviated except to help. My question is why should you of all people actually want to help after all you work for the agency and by placing this on this site have put yourself in the firing line!!!!!!!!!Once again I question for what reason??? Can you actually change the system for US????????????????

    I agree that this would be a much fairer method of calculating CM but how would they go about transfering cases back to the courts

    For example… I can’t just see the government saying “As with immediate effect there will be no more CSA”. No doubt they would put somekind of timescale in place, which as usual would be a total cock up and would not benefit those that are currently struggling…. Lets face it they haven’t even managed to transfer everyone over to CSA2 yet….. However, what they could do with immediate effect and what would help a lot of NRPs, is to suspend all DEOs and pass these cases over to the courts…. If they can’t prove the debt is correct, they would be thrown out of court…… If the debt is proven, then the courts would be able to decide how much CM is to be paid and at what rate any arrears should paid back at, based on the NRP income/ & outgoings.

  26. Following on from my last post……. The next step that should be taken to transfer cases over to the courts is to adopt the flat rate system which I mentioned in an earlier post… £20 for the first child and £15 for any other child involved….. If either parent wasn’t happy with this amount then their cases would be handed over to the courts to decide what should be paid…… This now only leaves those that are happy to pay or except this flat rate system…… These cases should be encouraged to pay direct to the PWC or where not possible via the taxman…..

    I have just posted some of the ideas that you have mentioned on the new post .. see CSA is headed for disaster. I think youre ideas are the best that I have read on this website for a long time. A little bit of plagirism i know, but it is excellent ideas.

  30. mmmmm die to the lack of responses from prohonesty, I have a feeling that this post has now crashed and burned… hopefully like the CSA / CMEC…. OOOOHHHHH how I wish that to happen, maybe then my ex and I can come to an agreement.

The worst is phasing, when your case changes from old rules to being on CS2…even if your new assessment is £50 a week less than the old rules assessment, they won’t implement it straight away, instead your new amount will be ‘phased in’ over 5 years! This works both ways, so if your new assessment is much higher than your old rules assessment, then there’s a chance it would go up over the course of five years too.

  32. What do you actually do at the CSA, ProHonesty, which department are you in?

    I’ve spoken to New Client team, Client Services, and Debt Enforcement, luckily never had to deal with anyone in Legal Enforcement or anything like that.

    The only reason that you want to help is to save your own skin, when the cuts begin.

    CSA/CMEC is a complete and utter shambles and has NO place whatsover in our society!

  34. I sincrely hope that you are one of the 490,000 to lose their job, as per chancellors announcement. Perhaps you can come back onto the site and tells us all how it feels to have your civil liberties and human rights removed when you are shown the door!

    I cant wait for these in humans to be made redundant and go through what we have to go through.

    Maybe then they will realise what todays society means and what they have created with their actions.

  37. What we need to do is all write day after day to your local mp and each one up the ladder day after day so they get soooooooo pi ss ed off and eventually see sense and shut it down for good!!!

  38. hi all i do agree that in some cases it is unfair but my case is totally different i have 3 children and my x husband has not and will not pay a penny towards them so i had no choice but to go thro the csa
    he comes when he feels like it if he can be bothered to see his children putting in my face his new £100 pound coat and designer trainers and throws in that he got his partner the same coat sham on him when i am crying at night wondering how to afford new coats and shoes for his kids , he makes me so cross
    in case ur wondering why he would buy his partner the same coat as himself he is gay now app he tryed to be normal when he was with me producing 3 children
    i dont know how much longer i have to wait and see his grinning face each time he comes showing off new stuff hes just got
    hes told me countless times he will never pay me any money so what am i to do but go thro csa directly from his wage
    every case is different and their r some parents out their relying on the csa for their help 🙁 if it ever gets sorted that is
