How can I pay the CSA?

When the Child Support Agency comes calling, demanding payment of arrears, the chances are that it will take you completely by surprise and will be a figure that you just cannot pay back. The problem is that the CSA takes an eternity to sort anything out and reply to correspondence, so when they do actually get round to demanding (and we use the word demanding) money from you, you’ve more than likely amassed a large sum in arrears.

How can you pay this?

The problem is of course that the longer you go without paying the CSA the money they want, the larger that arrears figure will become and the more money you’ll owe. If you do not pay the CSA can, and most likely will, take drastic and draconian steps that it has been powered to make – such as apply to have your driver’s licence revoked, your passport revoked, your property to be visited by bailiffs and even threaten you with prison time.

It all sounds a little bit over the top for what is essentially supposed to be a government organisation set up to look after the financial wellbeing of children, but sadly children are the last thing on the minds of the CSA’s bosses – they’re more interested in targets and reclaiming money, by any means necessary.

Paying the CSA with a Payday Loan

Paying this money can be a strain, which is why many people being chased by the CSA turn to Payday loans to meet the demands. There are numerous Payday loans companies in the UK offering to loan money on a strictly short term basis, but before you use any of them you need to be sure that you’re aware of what you’re getting yourself into, and how much interest you could be paying should you take longer to pay back the loan.

Payday loans are supposed to be until your next payday – if you take longer than the agreed timeframe your interest rate will go up by a lot, and you’ll end up paying back significantly more than you’ve borrowed. Be aware of this.

For some however, Payday loans are a convenient way of getting the CSA off their backs and paying them what they want. Have a look at some of the Payday loans companies and other loans companies we’ve featured here, and see if any of them can help you pay the CSA with a Payday loan.

  2. Don't do this just tell the idiots in the csa that you get paid on a different date and they will have to change it. Don't get a loan you will be in enough debt when the csa start plucking numbers out the air

  6. Oh my goodness, this is shocking!! These companies are leeches who prey upon the needy and cash in on their already horrendous financial situations. It is stressful dealing with the CSA but at least they don't charge ridiculous interest rates!! I sincerely hope NO ONE is tempted to contact these companies, all you would be doing is shifting the debt from one company to another but with added penalties.

The csa told us to get a loan, or have we anything we can sell cheeky sods.I told my husband to tell them get lost, if you pay us NOW we can stop the bailiffs, and court action, we explained (or tried to) Our situation did they listen? NO. We rang them back and gave them an offer to which she said well if u can pay that amount it will stop us seeking a liabilty order, So for 2 months we did and we struggled and i mean struggled, times are hard as it is and after a few weeks a court summons came ??? Shows what liars they are. So i told my husband the payments will now be reduced cos they have won anyway. Went to court and they got the liability order No surprises there, we are still waiting to hear about whether they will accept them or not, and judging by the thieves action in the past we will have the bailiffs knocking, or my husband put in prison, but then we will be back to square one cos we will still have no money. This is all because of a lying ex girlfriend and the fact it has taken the criminal support agency 5 years to get in touch.Whatever anyone does even if like us you panic DO NOT TAKE OUT one of these loans.

Susan, I've been through it – told to take out a loan, sell car you name it – I've been to court, found guilty and now have criminal record for non payment, the CSA will lie and do ANYTHING to raise money irrespective of emotional or physical cost to the individual – this organisation is sick and a sad reflection of how our supposed leaders view the people who they are supposed to represent – out of touch, ineffective, destroying relationships and people lives – I'd shut it down and close every single case – those who NEED the money would be encouraged to use a NEW service which would be through a local peoples court whereby agreements would be made under oath for both access and sensible and affordable payments would be agreed. The costs of the above would be transparent and shared by both. THis would encourage warring parties to sort their affairs out without the requirement of the states bumbling and often wrong solution. I would agree with you entirely – do not take out loans to pay the CSA. Wealthy mums who have multiple properties etc would be told to sell them and stop using their ex's as another deposit source. : )

  17. csa did that to me 5yrs ago and am stil payin csa and loan bk will b 2 more yrs till pay it all bk loans dont do it u'l only suffer more mind u with csa in the end we all suffer from their crap…

  20. I hope the admin considers their position, I don't mind them making money off advertising these services but this post is disgraceful…. NEVER pay the CSA using a payday loan, I once worked for Provident and see the mess that stuff like this gets people into!!!Admin, never put posts like this up again or I will leave this page and encourage others to do so!!!

  22. Always defend any threats by the CSA in Court. Do not give in to them. They have NO intention of using the money they take from you for your children so never give them any. Spend your money on your childen as you see fit. If they need new school clothes, and/or ordinary clothes, get them, but keep the receipts, with their name clearly written on. If you give money to your ex, keep a log book and make sure she signs for it. If you transfer money into her's, or your children's bank accounts, make sure it clearly reads "child maintenance" against the reference. BOTH parents should be looking after and providing for their children! Not some bunch of inept quasi-goverment thieves!

  26. Could it be the CSA that put those adds up. That's how desperate they are for money. They are fighting for their jobs and their Christmas bonuses, and if they don't get the money in they won't get their bonuses. So fight them all the way. Why should they get a bonus for hurting our children? They are the Child Deprivation and Abuse Agency! Now it's time to deprive the CSA staff. Make them lose there jobs and lets close this Government Quango down!

If CSA demand you take a loan.. ask them to explain how that is possible when blacklisted and why should you wish to pay out more than you can afford…Tell them all you own is HP!!! all items belong to the company that provided your HP loan!… untill such payments are final therefore impossible to sell what you own!!!I like telling the CSA I owe them nothing… I owe it to my child!!!!

I do the same and i really do not own anything or have a bank account 🙂 these imbeciles just arn't clever enough to keep up with me :)Also as a xmas prezzie to them i lodged a further 2 appeals yesterday (thats 7 in force) nd made 3 more formal complaints (28 current) plus I.C.E. are looking into 5 complaints :)How i love to tie these child abusers up in there own shit !!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree this ad should be taken down, its bad enough some people are going into terrible debt, without having companies like this taking avantage and pressuring people for huge amounts of interest on top. Also, please please could you just stop using such offensive language on here, we dont need to hear the C word, its really not nice and doesnt make anyones points come across in a mature way.
