DEO taken from my wages without warning

The first i heard of the csa taking any money from me was when i got my wage slip.

Oh my god did i get a shock – £630 and been taken out for that month. I went to wages department and they informed me that they had an order to take £697 a month out my wages, i was in shock. I had no idea of any of this till then i was handed a letter from wages department from csa instructing them that they had to take £697 a month ot my wages.

Now this is what has got to me. My EX KNOWINGLY gave a previous address in which i had been left over 2 years which she knew as i have had one of my lads over and the other 2 kids came. My EX gave previous address knowing that i couldnt fight my own corner. I’ve no problem with paying for my kids but for her to do this is evil, especially when i was paying her cash in hand a couple of years ago. In which i asked for a receipt which she denied as she said it would affect her BENEFITS.

I’ve been paying of thousands of pounds worth of joint debts as well, where is the justice?

I rang the csa and they arent bothered now they want to start court proceedings even though im paying each month. I’m a very disrtessed dad can any one give me an anser? At presant im waiting for all paperwork from csa as iv not personnally been assessed.

They want even more money, is this right?

  1. I have the same problem mate they are pure evil and there is no way to fight them unless you leave the uk this is the only way forward and I am looking at this option now.
I cant stop the DEO from being taken from my wages either.

I am loosing 500 a month and they keep on taking all my money and now I am loosing my home and electric is being cut off as well.

  2. hi we are in the exact same situation to the tune of thousands. we have proved to the csa that my husband wasnt living at the address stated and they now accept that but wil not let us appeal the arrears of reassess them ( they dont include housing costs or anything and he is under csa1). we have been informed that we may have a case for challenging the legality of these assessments as he didnt recieve them and couldnt use his right of appeal at the time as he wasnt living at the said address, unfortunately you can not challenge the legality until they have taken you to court. which they may not even bother doing as i reckon they know they are in the wrong and they know that you cant challenge a deo. they are so corrupt

Hope this of use good luck

  4. If you are about to lose your home and the debts you have are over 6,000 have you tried to apply for insolvancy (not sure if its same in England) but we pay £200 monthly to a trust deed company and all past debt is then dealt with by them including the csa deo gas electric credit cards etc.
