CSA took my money even though they owed me

My husband left october 2006, he had an affair with our nextdoor neighbour. I have m.e, (chronic fatigue syndrome) when he left he lied and said there was no one involved i knew differently but he paid monies to myself for the children then when his secret came out he stopped all monies. I lived in a 6 bedroom house mortgage well over £1,200.

My solicitor advised that i would have to make contact with the CSA – god what a nightmare. My husband was earning £85,000 surprise surprise he took a compromise agreement with his firm he then stopped working so that he didnt have to pay anything. My eldest daughter went to live with her dad.

I found a job through an agency that deals with people with ill health i worked 16 hrs a week. The CSA contacted me i gave them details and they took my money every month – they took it direct from my employer as i refused to give them anything as my husband owed me a lot of money which CSA was supposedly dealing with but not very well. I had that many different officers dealing with it at different locations it was ridiculous.

They dealt with my case appallingly – not interested in the fact i had no monies left to support the existing child i had living with me they told me “its not our problem you cannot support your child”. When my eldest daughter returned to me my husband told them that she still lived with him – he lied – CSA did nothing – no one went out to check – i had to contact my Drs, school to write letters saying who my daughter lived with – they allowed him to get away with this. My ex is now working and is on £7,500 and i was on just under £6,000 – i was made to pay more money to him, they took my tax credits into the equasion – yet in black and white it stated on their forms that they did not take them into consideration – yet they did with me.

I decided to leave my employment and get a better paid job, determined that CSA was not going to get any more money from me – but they rang me to inform me that they knew i had left my old job and wanted to know where i had moved to i told them i wasnt going to let them have the details – they told me they would take my passport and driving licence from me (like i care – cannot afford to go on holiday ever again!!) told them they wouldnt have to as i would leave my job before pay him. I have told the CSA that we both have one child each that should be that common sense prevails i look after the one i have he does the same – i do not want his money – i want my life back CSA should intervene and stop this charade once and for all.

I have informed CSA that for a man who was on the dole he had a fantastic lifestyle, holidays abroad, barge holidays, excessive drinking, soon to be getting a new car, yet noone has been to his luxurious home and ceased his computer – yet i am being persecuted by an evil monster who has done so many nasty things to me – if any one can help me that would be wonderful
