CSA leaves us with debts each month
I have a child who I have not seen who will be 11 yrs old.
The reason that I have not is that my Ex has asked me not to before the child was born but I have always paid up until I got made redundant last year, the last amount being £98 per week. I was earning enough to pay this.
Since then I was misled by the jobcentre plus and the CSA. The jobcentre told me that they would inform the CSA of a change in circumstance. I have got arrears of about £1900, they are taking £192 per month from my wage. I work part-time at a local supermarket on minimum wage, my wife also does the same hours. This amount leaves us with a minus at the end of the month and we have to miss paying something every month – this month it will be the council tax, last it was the rent.
We have now also got a court summons for non payment of council tax and the landlord is not happy either.
People ask me why I do not see this child. My ex got married soon after the child was born and has 2 more children and all is happy and I do not want to spoil that. Also I moved along and have helped my wife bring up 2 children that are now grown up and I have an 18 year old daughter that I see all the time and has never gone without. I have and still will give my last penny.
