CSA: How to Avoid Paying?

I have been told to pay arrears of £10,000 but this figure keeps changing over and over again. I phoned them last week and they tell me I owe another £14000 so beggars belief on this one.

I have had my children staying with me off and on prior to November 2007 but as my daugher told me she was being touched sexually and i got the police and NSpcc involved I was told I am not seeing the children anymore. I have only started seeing them 11 months after I took the ex to court.

I used to be told to take this week off work I am having the children etc etc so I had to do what I can to get time off. I paid for florida trips with the children and expensinve Caravan trips with the children and this was told by the ex that she wont accept this as support. She even flew over the USA on holiday alone and chased tornadoes while I looked atfter the children and still I am now being told to pay arrears of £10,000 or is it another £14000.

I told the CSA you want me to kill myself and they laughed and said yea go on less work for us. I am at a loss on what to do now as I am paying so much in CSA support that I am minue £89.00 a month now. I don’t know where to turn to. I can’t take much more of this stress.

Why is everyone scared of the CSA when I am desperate for help?

What do I do now to stop these horrid payments being taken from my Salary?

Can anyone help me as I am soon to be evicted from my home due to the rent going into arrears?

Can someone help me please?

  1. Hi DAVID C,

When did your case commence, before or after 03/03/03?

You need to establish if the arrears are correct.

Has your case subject to a penalty OR interim assessment? – if so, this maybe inflating arrears amounts and could be converted into a proper assessment.

  2. David i sympathise fully with you as i am in a simular situation. The csa are intent on destroying me, i was forced to give up the job i loved doing because when they took thier cut i had no money left to travel to work (it was a 150 mile round trip). They are a heartless and cruel organisation, i love my 2 kids dearly and they stay with me every school holiday but the csa dont give a jot, its no wonder i am contemplating suicide here.

  3. I am the mother of a young girl and have her weekends i am on a low wage and waited 8 years b4 having another child..now im pregnant and the csa are trying to make me homeless while he has 3 children by three others and one extra on the way.. i am worried about how this will impact my pregnancy as i am worriedd to the point of loosing my mind or unborn child..i work full time and for a low wage..how can they do this to ppl?

  4. i wanna’ just say that some one needs to look into helping the farthers that realy love there kids but cant pay the amount the csa want due to low wage. in my case i was cheated on by my ex and as a result i lost my girlfriend, kids, house, and even tried to take my own life, but the only thing that got me through it was the love for my kids they are and always will be my life! but if the csa take all the money how can anyone be expected to pay rent, bills etc….. and see kids with no money! i didnt get a choice in my situation, an the csa dont care about me or any other farther in the same situation, i honestly believe the csa dont care if they drive farthers to suicide, they only want the money?

  5. me and my ex split october 09,she has kept my home and has my kids mon til thur,i pick them up on fridays and take them back on a sun tea time, the csa have hit me with a whopping bill of 95a week maintenance,i was hoping to get my own council house for me and me 2kids but now cant even afford the rent etc,i am stuck living with a pal and pay him 35a week and that is just fora spare room, the csa dont realise that all i want is a home my 2lads can call thier home to,i have lost everything, the csa dont give a damn about good fathers who want to spend time with their kids, they only after money only.

  6. Has any one wondered does all the money that you lot pay actually go toy our kids? for instance you pay £100 per wk does that mean your child is getting that £100 ? Or does it mean that they only get a percentage?

I know of some one who divorced some years ago and is not paying child maintenance And now they have just found out there partner is having a baby. So now basically he’s buggered as he will have to pay what is owed and what is yet to come.

Can anyone suggest any thing for him ?
