Work together to overcome CSA

I was 16 in the 80’s. The girl was also 16. She got pregnant and didn’t tell me.

We went on own ways; she continued having different partners.

In the 90’s I went to prison.

In the mid 90’s I was out , and one day received a letter saying I owed £40,000 in back payments.

Since then, I have had bad relationship after another because of the financial problems it has brought me.

I quit my job because I was only bringing home £130 per check, due to the Child Support.

My drivers license was revoked because of non payment. We live in separate areas, and me seeing the boy is now irrelevant. He will be 18 this year.

But I will still owe.

I will NOT pay the CSA SH*T.

Matter of fact, I didn’t know all of this time, that I should have had my OWN business.

WHEN I GET ON MY OWN FEET SOON, I WILL BE HIRING “DEADBEAT DADS” VICTIMS OF THE CSA. – AND I RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO HAS A BUSINESS, BIG OR SMALL, TO HELP YOUR FELLOW MAN DEFEAT THE CSA BY HIRING MEN & WOMEN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CSA, BY CONTRACTING THEM.

PLEASE PASS ON THIS INFORMATION, ANYONE WHO WANT TO HELP.

  1. I’m confused…..your gf got pregnant at 16 in the 80’s that will make the child over 25+ or have I read that wrong?

If your case is on cs1 rules you need to start asking for a breakdown because it sounds to me you were on a interim maintenance assessment which can be converted to reflect your true circumstances at that time. £40,000 sounds an awful lot for 1 child! Stop ignoring the CSA it will not go away….my husband thought this and when we met he finally sat down and sorted it. CSA wanted 13,000 of arrears from a period he knew he couldn’t of been working, with help of our MP the interim assessment was converted and he owed nil….no the ex wasn’t happy but hey ho! Your situation will not improve if you don’t start challenging the CSA with their figures and if it’s a secretary of state debt they will keep hounding you. See your MP or visit the NARCSA (think that’s spelt correctly) website who will be able to advise you better.
