With the CSA, eventually never comes
I have been stuck on the old outdated pre 2003 (should have been scrapped 10yrs ago)system for over 10 yrs and like many others out there I hav been told on various occasions that I would be moved onto the new system eventually. But with the CSA eventually NEVER COMES and I was told recently that I would probably never be moved now.
I work shifts and my assessment on the old system for 2 children is £527 every 4wks yet a friend I work with is on the new system and only has to pay £332 for his 2. I have many times for someone to justify to me how this can be fair to run 2 systems like this and punish people simply by the date they joined the system.
THEIR STEALING OUR MONEY!!. I am not looking any favours but I would like to be treated FAIRLY. I have recently requested a meeting with the minister in charge of the CSA il let you’s know his response and wether we’ve any chance of finally getting rid of this SHAMBLES of a system.

I too am on the old system and have 3 children, one who will be 18 in 2 weeks. I have been told by the CSA that payments will basically stay the same once he is out of the equation whereas if i were on the new rules i would be paying a flat 20%. I dont understand the reasoning for this and feel its just because im an easy target.
I’m also on the old outdated CSA1 system and have been, with two cases since the CSA was set up.
I’m paying nearly 25% of my net pay for one child.
The only way to go onto CSA2 is if the PWC closes the case and reopens it after thirteen weeks, or if she has a child after 3/3/2003 and has made a further claim for maintenance through the CSA.
The CSA has control of your life, there is no reasoning with them and they have power to do what they want. They are on targets/bonuses, so will bleed you dry of your money. They don’t care about you or your new family.
You’ll be lucky to see anyone in authority at the CSA, but the more people who complain the more chance there is of getting anything done. Also see your MP, although some are good, others a waste of time.

Why would they move you onto the new system? They’re doing what they do best, rinsing your wages and bank account, why would these scumbags put you onto a system that would allow them to take less off you?
As for your MP, he/she may help, possibly to keep the monster that we’re up against in check to some degree, but these MP’s know whats going on, these are our elected representatives who devised the system, then did nothing to stop it, in fact gave it powers to make it worse…
I hold those maggots more responsible than the brain dead drones who work for the CSA.
The only glimmer of hope will be that ALL cases will eventually be transferred onto the 2012 system, that way all people will be treated the same. As to whether or not the 2012 scheme will be beneficial or not only time will tell.

They are robbing bastards I agree…..just a stealth tax on the hard working honest dads who’s only crime is to have brought a child into the world whom he thought would have both parents bring up, but instead gets dumped and expected to cough up hundreds of pounds every month until the kid is 20 ….did I say kid at 20 …lol
That’s bad enough but what’s even worse is the money don’t even get spent on your kids,it just tops up the ex’s benefit booty and her partners wages.

@ Gonk. Couldnt agree more. I wish i was only paying £320 a month. Mine is £99.58 a week. times 52 is £5178.16 a year or £431.51 a month. All for 1 kid and no arrears. My ex doesnt work so gets job seekers allowence (£70 a week) Child Benefit (£20 a week) Rent payes (Roughly £70 a week) and Council tax payed (Roughly £25 a week) total £185 plus £99.58 off me is £284.58 a week for doing nothing.
I’m paying almost £450 a month. This was the result of a brief fling I had with a piece of pond life, who’s never done a day’s work in her life.
Thanks for the replys it’s obvious there’s a lot of frustration out there mainly down to the fact that we feel helpless and are gonna be stuck paying £100s a month more than we should be for years to come. When I put my details into their own online calculater it comes up with £75 a week not the £131.75 these bunch of clowns have come up with.
There has got to be 10s of thousands of people out there in the same boat I’m not computer savvy but it would be great if we all had a page where we could sign up I’m sure if we got enough signatures to take to the MP responsible for the CSA and generally highlight the issue he surely couldn’t duck it any longer or even try to justify still using it to STEAL OUR MONEY.
As for the 2012 system I wouldn’t hold out much hope on that last I heard they’d spent 100s of millions on software and it doesn’t work.
