Will money from my daughter’s father be classed as extra income?

i recieved a letter recently saying i will be shortly receiving so much money for my daughter from her father… is this classed as extra income?? will this effect are child tax credits?? this is not guaranted to be paid every week, where will that leave us??

    One term springs to mind ‘having you cake & eating it’. You obviously have concerns about losing your tax credits, but your clearly quite happy for the CSA to financially rape the Father leaving him penniless each month and unable to live. Yes you do have to declare the income, it isn’t some sort of Brucie Bonus to fund luxuries above and beyond your tax credits. Honestly you people amaze me – you have more front than Blackpool prom
