Will I have to pay back the money due to CSA error?
Help please, I have just been informed this morning that my ex has overpaid my daughters maintenance by £250..as daughter was 20 in august they sent me a letter saying it was stopping and sent a letter to say this what was owed.
Now they say oops they made a mistake .my ex has always paid his maintenance for the last 10 years without fail .its always been through cs a on a attachment of earning ..so how can they overpay .
They sort it out …do I have to pay back because of there mistake as my daughter is severely disabled? ….Thank u.

Yes you do. Even thou it was their error it’s not your exs error but it’s his money .u can pay it back in instalments or get your ex to phone them and say he doesn’t want it back..chances are thou..he probably will want it back x

He under payed you so y should u keep his money for .
I overpaid my ex, daughter was 20 in June. I had my payments reduced for a couple of months to balance it out. I gave the money to the kids.
