Will ex cheat the system if I get CSA involved?
My dilemma….I have 2 boys aged 4 and 5…myself and their father separated 2 years ago and we had an agreement that he paid £400 per month, recently he pays what he wants when he wants so have decided that I need to make things more offical and contact the CSA. My problem is that he is a self employed driving instructor and I know that he will no where near be declaring the correct amount of earnings He used to earn £800 per week 2 years ago and has since put his prices up and is able to work more hours, so I know he now earns a lot more. What should I do as if they go by his last tax return I will prob get hardly anything as he cheats the system.

Why not come to an amount that you feel your children need rather than feel deserving of a percentage of his hard work? Your childrens needs do not cost more because he earns more.
I hope u get less and there really cant go by pay every month as be up and down every month and sum months he might only make 500 or less so he might not pay anything at all
You well be put under the nee rules of CM . Look them up 1st as they try make you come to plan your self 1st or you both be paying to use them .
Does he actually see the children then?
good luck, mine had his ‘friendly’ accountant do his books and needless to say he now only has £5 a week to live off after his bills are paid…according to csa his maintenance to his children will therefore be nil and not reviewed
Children are a JOINT responsibility – £400.00 from dad and £400.00 from mum – what on earth are you spending money on?……….. I have 2 children and receive nothing from their dad.
What’s that got to do with it – it’s the money not the children she cares about……..
