Why won’t my ex’s family help out?

January 11, 2015

I get £2.50 a week and I have no idea how that is justified even in a court! Their dad and I are seperate or I would become his full time carer.

He had a heart attack and lack of oxygen left him brain damaged. Cared for him for 2 years with my kids being aged 4 and 5.

His family were unhappy with my decision to no longer live this way,and no family member of his will prompt or assist him with his finances apart from keeping his money.

If he was aware he would pay much more. He gets DLA, Income support and is ‘unable to work’ my kids are at a loss financially. He has this condition for life, he probably doesn’t realise he has children.

Bless he can’t be at fault! Some mothers don’t even get any payment and they seem to learn to manage! If you were entitled to more you would get!

What a selfish man, to have a heart attack and be permanently brain damaged to the point he is unable to give you a few extra quid every week.
I feel your pain, I mean how do you cope, being of sound mind and body, capable of working and earning but only getting a small amount of a disabled, brain damaged lay about who doesn’t even know he has children.

I feel for the father he has brain damage and all you care about is money! Was a greedy person you are. You will have to do what the normal single mothers do, get on with life and be a good mother you will get benefits why can’t you make do as I did with two wonderful children.
Why should his family pay for you and your children?
This man needs to be left alone by you wanting more and more out of him. I hope this goes to court and the judge can see what a greedy person you are.
I feel for your children lets hope they don’t grow up into greedy selfish young adults.

I can understand your situation. but the way you have worded ithis it sounds cold. SO I will say how I see it.

You were your husbands carer, but it got too much. his family have not been suppportive even though you still support your fiormer husband through his illness. He cant make any payment othervthan via the CSA and that assesment was £2’50 which to be honest is fuck all.

if this is incorrect then feel free to correct the details.

firstly ignore those above. we are used to dealing with leeches who use the csa as a weapon of child destructon or simply a free ride. there are loads

The problem I have, is you have not stated what advice u need. it is quite clear why his family will not support you.

I would actually stop colecting the payment via the CSA its not worth the aggro.

there is no reason why you cant be his carer provided he is able and willing to consent to that.

Got something to say?
