surely she’s not the parent of care any longer!!!
Phone them and ask for an explanation or try your local citizens advice, it doesn’t sound right at all that he still paying the money to her. As for getting a refund don’t you think any monies she’s received, she should pay to the child’s new carers not back to your partner? It was for the child after all. Could your partner get the child out of foster care maybe, she definitely won’t get any money then!
Isn’t the more fundamental question why is his son in care surely he should be with you ?
Sounds to me the mother is still receiving the child benefit for the child hence why csa are still taking monies. Ring up the child benefit people and get some advice. Is the foster carers family members of hers and they’ve come to agreements over money which is perfectly legal if all parties are happy? Can I ask why he’s in foster care if he has a father who’s paying maintenance? Was he not given the option to have him? Just seems sad that the child is stuck in the care system.
Thank u for everyones help. We found out the child’s mother was committing fraud. Everything sorted now.
And the child? Is he out of care? Poor kid if he isn’t :,-(
