Why should I work and never have anything to show for it?
In brief I have 3 children on my case and the csa have done the assement on my wages from last year when I was doing some overtime. They want to take 100 pounds a week leaving me with 150 a week to live on. The problem is my weekly expenditure is 150 a week and iv not even bought food.
There is arrears of 1500 on the case but with the assement they have done I won’t Be able to afford to live. Iv tried compromising with the them but they do not want to know as the law states they can take 40% of my wages.
Why should I work and never have anything to show for it?
Iv written numerous times to my mp and this feels just a waste of time.
Any advice welcome

If your wages have decreased due to you not doing overtime you can ask for a re-assessment, you will need to provide your wage slips to show that your income has dropped. Your wages must drop by 5% or more for a re-assessment.
Alice why have you not told him that legally the CSA HAVE TO negotiate arrears?
They know this yet continue to impose illegal DEO’s on NRP’s with no consideration for their circumstances, Why do the CSA continue to break their own laws and charters with regard to this Alice?

Because they are corrupt.
You will have to work or people like Alice won’t have a job that’s all he/she is worried about if I was in your shoes I wouldn’t work why should you better off on benifits ofr educating yourself at least you would have a medium to long term future ,working for no reward is slavery and a breach of your human rights !!!!!!
The only problem is Alice I have to show 5 wage slips without any overtime before the assessment can be changed. It’s totally wrong that the csa take overtime into consideration when overtime is never guaranteed.
The government wants people working then they should make it fair for the NRP to pay for the upbringing of the kids as well as to be able to live a normal life.
I am tempted to quit my job because working means I may have to go homeless. Can’t afford to pay all my bills and keep a car in the road as well as eat etc. only reason I’ve a car is to get to work.
Also Daniel, if the CSA say any “arrears” have to be paid in two years, they are giving you incorrect information. That is purely a guideline. See your MP and hopefully he/she will be on your side. Email and take a copy of the brief facts of your case before you see your MP.

take very little notice of Alice..she’s a CSA robot installed on here to grease the CSA wheels..she will only spout legislation.As Stuart says..why didn’t she mention the fact that the Csa have to negotiate arrears.

Looking at my last letter from them it says 3.33 a week for the children and 95 pounds for the arrears for the week. I called them asking how this was right to be told I can get it reassessed after 5 weeks. The whole system and the morons who work for them are a complete joke. I think the old system which took into account the NRP outgoings was fairer.
My ex wife went on two holidays last year as well as bought a brand new car. This year she is buying a house. Me well I can barely afford to go food shopping.
everything about this agency is unfair, immoral and illegal. The only way to fight them is collectively which I am trying to arrange please contact me at eddie424@outlook.com
