If you can come to an arrangement yourselves without the use of the CSA/CMS then you’ll both be happier.
In a perfect world coming to an arrangements between yourselves is the best but when the NRP does everything to evade any financial provision and acts in an intimidating and threatening way to the RP there is no other option.
In addition an agreement between yourselves the NRP can stop payments when they want and use paying maintenance as a way of still having control over the RP, in these cases when dealing with a manipulative and unstable NRP, there is no other option.
