Why is the mum denying her child financial aid?

May 19, 2014

Hello. me and the mum split up in 2007. we have a son born 2006. the mum got married and started full time work at the start of 2008 dropping of my son each an every morning enabaling her then to proceed to work, then collect or i would drop of our son in the evening to stay over night with her to be dropped of before going to work.

This was the arrangement up until 2013. I took our son to play groups an to school up till now. I’ve been unemployed all that time, paying child maintenance of £5per week. Roughly £1,300 over the period while my childs mum worked a 9-5 job collecting tax credit, child benefit and child maintenance.

My liability for child maintenance ended 2011 after i wrote a letter to child maintenance stating i was the childs main career, shortly after i started to get the child benefit, roughly a year later i got child tax credits.

I still have not received any financial aid from the mum since his birth. Help! there are so many wrong things that have gone on depriving my son of financial help in his opportunities and development.

Complex case workers have been involved and social services the police the school, health workers, court orders handed out, its messy and complex, but the truth is as plain as black and white.
