Why has the CSA increased may payments?
I have had so many problems with the CSA in the past 7 years.
To cut things short they couldn’t find me on there system so I couldn’t pay for ages. Being sensible I put the money aside for all this time, my monthly payment was £216 & this amount ended up over £5,000.
When they called in Feb I paid the full amount straight away. I was then told that I was completely upto date & in no arrears. A couple of weeks later I was told my payments had increased to £272 & they were back dating this to October 2009, I have no problem with the amount increasing but how can they justify expecting me to pay this amount back dated without notification?
Surely they should notify me & then the increased payment amount would start?
They have now demanded £383 a month to pay off the arrears which I can’t afford & have said when the arrears are cleared the payment will still be higher than my £272 & will be increased to £296 a month – how can they justify this increase?
This means my payments have increased by £80 a month in a year. My pay certainly hasn’t increased anywhere near this amount so how can they justify this?
Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
