Why don’t directors have to declare dividend payments?
How comes they know that directors dont have to declare this ‘dividend paynent’ they pay themself is a loop hole but are doing nothing to sort it??
My kids dad own his own company and he has told them he pays himself £179 a week wage and threfore i get £28.29 per week for two kids (which he still dont pay!!) but he has hundreds a week more than that as a dividend payment that they are unable to use in calculation!? this is still and income and should be used! drives me mad! I dont want a lot, just £50 a week to help out with costs of bring up two kids, but nothing still!

They do have to declare it. They pay corporation tax on their business and they pay tax through their self assessment. It’s all pretty open, and you can even get a copy of his business financial details through Companies House. There’s no mystery to it. So no need to complain he’s not declaring dividends.
Directors are not on self assessment, they are on P.A.Y.E.
Peter, if a director of a company pays himself dividends he has to complete a self assessment.
