Why do the CSA only listen to one side?
During the divorce I lost my job, the last day was 13/12/2013. I paid the same amount as usual every week out of money I already had. After trying desperately looking for work I finally ran out of money and had to sign on to JSA.
As the divorce was still under way, my legal bill was only getting bigger. My ex wife called the CSA at this point and told them that I had not seen my kids since christmas and told them I was still fully employed by my old employer. The CSA fully believed her lies and came up with a bill which is only getting bigger.
They text me every week with an ever growing bill I have explained several times (at my expense) that I have my kids stay with me every weekend. They simply told me that I have to prove it with a court order which i really could not afford. As for the CSA bill they told me that they have based the money on a job I used to have.
After trying to explain that I don’t work there anymore they asked me if I could borrow the money from someone. The stress of this is causing me to think of suicide as I can’t see a way of this getting put right. My divorce took four years and £12000 solicitor costs out of my pocket, my ex wife strung it out on purpose as she got legal aid all the way through.
She has my beautiful house while Im in a run down flat. The whole situation has solely been to her advantage and the CSA is just the icing on her cake. When i ask the CSA a question of how they came up with these figures they can’t even give a straight answer. They expect me to prove this in court and the truth is that I can’t even afford petrol for my car. How can they just believe the words of her and not the truth from me.

You need to email a formal complaint, req your DP file ask for a full account audit from start to current date, Also get you mp involved with this, As Eugene Tracey has suggested as well
Really feel for you – I went through some terrible times and also was driven to the point of near-suicide. Don’t do it. You owe it to your kids not to let this immoral and corrupt agency win.
Get some support via the Facebook – CSA Ripoff’s group. They are REALLY helpful. Speak to your MP. Write complaint after complaint. Write to the ICE (The independent case examiner). Do EVERY THING in writing. DO NOT accept their phones calls. Tell them EVERY THING must be in writing. If they phone you, HANG UP. Do not let them stress you out further because they are incompetent, inept and will LIE over and over.
Good luck – I hope you get some help. Talk to someone, anyone. Even the Samaritans. There is no shame in asking for help. Talk to the CAB too, they can offer practical advice if you can get someone from there to spend some time with you.
