Why do people on here attack each other?

February 1, 2013

When will people realise its the system and the fault of either the PWC or NRP and stop personally attacking people when some are taking to help?!

No wonder people are getting nowhere if thats the attitude to take, surely trying to help one another is the way forward? I think the idea of setting up groups is great to help people but cant understand the mentality of some people who need to slag them down for doing good.

Love to have some positive comments on this on what others feel too.

Hi there, I don’t know what you mean by ‘positive’ but I’ll try and address your points if I may.

I’m not sure its a question of ‘fault’ as such. Judge Dorothy Beasley in the US many years ago pointed out that in the event of a divorce/separation there are 3 parties involved not just two, (mum/dad/child).

When the 1989 Children Act was written it recognised this tri partite relationship in (I think) section 11 (could be wrong on the section number) which allowed, no, ‘promoted’ the concept of ‘shared residence’, a concept initially supported by Lady Butler Sloss until she was talked out of it. Subsequent studies have overwhelmingly shown that the ‘best parent’ is ‘both parents’, unless clear reasons exist to stop that. (child abuse)

If the whole idea of the csa was to ‘help children’ then joint residence would be a standard order in most cases.

Trouble is not only would divorce lawyers lose a lucrative source of income, but huge numbers of civil servants in areas of high unemployment would be out of work.

Onto your second point, this is an open forum, its not a ‘group’, the people who run the site do so in order that people can share their experience and maybe that shared experience will help others.

There is no charge to join (presumably there is an income from advertising) and it doesnt matter if you are a PWC or NRP (I’ve been both) or pro csa or anti csa. It really isnt a ‘group’, just a bunch of individuals expressing opinion on an emotive issue.

As such emotions are strained and tempers sometimes flair up. I’ve been on here since last year (autumn?) and have had a few ‘arguments’ myself but I’ve looked throughout the site and found that very few people cause trouble, most of the posts are from the anti csa camp (its called csahell, hardly pro csa is it) who are often annoyed with the csa workers who come on here.

I’ve only found one real ‘trouble maker’ on here, the advice isnt bad as such but they do have an ascerbic attitude to people who dont agree with them. They have annoyed or argued with at least 6/7 contributors that I know of and this has gone on since 2009.

Everyone is entitled to their view including his person. You may think that we should all just move on and not argue, in a perfect world you would be right but if that person then follows you and continues to be a pain people will react.

Hope this is positive enough for you and look forward to your own post on a csa related issue.

    Cheers
