Why can’t the CSA get my ex to pay?
i contacted the csa back in october 2012 to ask for my case to be re-opened as my ex wouldnt stick to out mutual agreement. they told me they would re-open it and then send me details to confirm information. november came – nothing. december came nothing. hundreds of calls later and they keep passing me to different people, saying they will call me back when they dont, saying its with the clerical team. january came still no payments, feburary has arrived and still no payment.
My case has run up £1380 of arrears which my ex has to foot the bill for, he is dragging his heels sayin he is not paying for the 3 kids, so the csa said they will go through his work, surely they should have done that months ago. and now we r nearly in march, and yet another month of no payment. spoke with them today and she said wait for us to contact u with what is happening with the case. im fuming its like they dont care. its money which is owed to us. yet we cant get out hands on it.

Omg another bloody wingeing leech, the ex.obviously doesnt want to pay what csa are asking, garunteed as soon as they take from his wage he will give his job up, I would say good on him, the csa are robbers.nothing more,
Mumof3:- Yes it can take along time from initial application to 1st payment. Especially if the NRP is not cooperative.
It seems from your post that the initial assessment has been done.
After that the NRP should be given the opportunity to pay by direct debit.
If they then have to contact the employer this can take up to 6 weeks and then a further time for it to be implemented by the employer who has until the 19th of following month after the deduction has been taken from the wages and then a week to go through the system.
It all seems prolonged and cumbersome but some cases, especially if they are clerical, do take much longer.
the CSA cannot impose a DEO until an assessment has been done – as your case was a re-application this would involve contacting the NRP to obtain the required information regarding his employment and income – if he has failed to supply this then the agency may have had to trace this via HMRC, this can take some time – once the assessment is done they have to notify the NRP of this and give him the change to set up payments, he will also have been issued with a letter regarding the arrears on the case – if he has not responded to this they can then contact his employer and impose a deduction of earnings order
good luck in getting your payments soon
Winge the Australian version of the English word whinge.

Alice..you contradict yourself here.Remember some weeks back, you advised me the DEO slapped on me was probably due to my ex requesting it and probably because we could not come to a private arrangment? and yet here you say the nrp would have been notified after being assessed and offered a chance of a payment plan…the csa did NO such thing to me..I had ZERO correspondance from them. You say here “they HAVE to notify you”.That part must have slipped their minds and you bastards went straight to my employer.
Why was I not offered this courtesy as you clearly say in this reply when they rang me and told me my ex had filed a claim against me.

Alice also told me last night i was lying as my hubby had a deo slapped on him with no notice at all, because his ex wife told them to also!!!!!!! Seems contradictory info is all alice good for
MMMM interesting Lisa…but as we all know…she works for the csa and probably not replied as yet because she is dreaming up a suitable reply?
unless i have missed something? her reply to this original post said quite clearly that the csa have to notify a nrp after an assessement and offer a payment plan/
they did NOTHING of the sort when they rang me…even more to the point, she suggested that the ex and I could not come to an arrangement for a payment plan?
The ex never even contacted me for any such arrangement, which suggest she contacted them and lied saying she had and guess what?….thats right…they believed her…and thus they have their DEO….done and dusted…another paye unfortunate in the csa bag….FUCKING ARSEHOLES!!!

It states in the CSA poilcies that payment options are offered, if that’s the case then why are so many men slapped with these DEO,s maybe they are ficticous and were really not having money taken, maybe the stories that we have lived with for the last however long are just that “stories” to Alice, it makes me so mad that She/he has the audacity to come here mocking people who genuinely need help and take the mick out of them to the point were ripping each other to shreds, obviously this is another tactic of the CSA, makes me sick whichever
thats what really fucks me off Lisa is to think I have had the wool pulled over my eyes by these c***nts and now have a DEO in place thats near impossible to get removed….wankers

@ Gonk
If you believe that the DEO was falsely added to your pay, you can complain to the top of the CSA and ask them to remove it, we have helped a few people do this, its unlawful deduction of earnings,
Hi Lisa
can you guide me here on how I go about it?
thank you kindly
