Why are they just taking her word for it?

I have been paying for my children since we split up and this is not a problem. I have had them about 140 nights a year and a reasonable understanding with my ex, now she wants more money so contacted the CSA to claim my daughter would only be with me 78 nights and my son 130, they have now increase my payments just because she has said these new over night stays.

It was agreed the dates for the year by both of us at 141, but now on her word alone her and the CSA are try to rip me off, mainly for her holidays that she take without the children.

Has anyone any advice to what if anything can be done, should I just write to them and say they will be with me 200 nights?

many thanks

  1. CSA rules state they have to be impartial and not to discriminate but by just allowing a PWC to offer a change of circumstances with no evidence is clearly not happening. It is a CSA staff theme and they will blame legislation, however it is not the case and you as the NRP will now contrary to British law have to prove the claim is false. On proving this and the time it will take to investigate you will be out of pocket and your ex will by then be so used to the extra windfall that she will no doubt stop more access to grab some more cash from you. The child in this becomes a weapon and it evolves into pay per view for you and your child. The Csa care not at the implication of their actions, Sorry no better news for you but this is the CSA and they will bleed you dry and a greedy ex can manipulate them to help them achieve better bonus payments at the expense of fathers who care.

  2. Yes,I can second this ,it happened to us.(as a nrp &nrpp) CSA have favoured the pwc against us despite our evidence proving we have paid.We are struggling (but complying & paying)but the CSA are not interested in helping us prove we have paid. Why do they think the pwc is a paragon of virtue & only believe her? We deserved to be believed after all British justice is innocent till proven guilty isn’t it ? Not where the CSA are concerned. We DEMAND a fairer system !!

  3. can someone confirm that the calculation to get to the first point is as follows:-
gross salary – Tax / NI / Pension giving a total, this is then reduced by the number of nights for each child, is that right ?
The CSA can not even get the Net weekly salary correct ? Or at least not the same figure as my company has given me ?
    HELP 🙂
