Regardless if you have parental responsibility or not, providing you are a parent, you have a legal duty to pay to support that child until he/she leaves full time education.
Why do parents not want to pay for there kids they made no matter wot age your kids are u should always be there to support them jokes u are !!!
It ends when the child is 20 if they are still in some form of education..as to the other comments he didn’t say he didn’t want to pay..but if u have money being taken from you surely u have a right to ask for how long etc..
Parental responsibility in my eyes is for life they don’t get to 18 walk out the door on there birthday never to been seen again! if u didn’t want a child 18yrs ago you should of bagged it there and then!
but what if you not on birth certificate and no proof child is yours? hypothetically speaking
Makes me laugh that all you dads are asking when does the legal right of being a dad end just because you don’t want to pay money to help your child.yet a mother has to pay and be there emotionally 24hrs a day you all make me sick you low life scum of the earth
You all seem to miss the point of my question, I have never quibbled about paying for my children, never have never will, however I want to know when I have to stop paying their fat, lazy,Jeremy Kyle watching, benefit claiming ,oxygen thieving, work shy, absent parent syndrome disbelieving, mother?
Makes ME laugh, that all you moms are happy to allow you’re partners to look after you’re children when you are a couple, but, should you split, dad becomes the beast of Bodmin, amazing really’we don’t use our children as weapons’ and you all blame the bloke, I’m disanointed that I asked a genuine question about being told I wont have parental responsibility when my chip turns 18, but still have to pay maintenance, yo receive some very, absent parent syndrome responses. Thanks all
Sorry but when Is an 18 yr old a child??? They bloody aren’t! They can legally drive drink alcohol get married, maybe these mothers should stop being bloody freeloaders and send their kids to work and they should work to support themselves! Seems the mothers who comment on here expect a free life at the expense of their ex! Makes me sick and gives decent mums a bad name
Well said Lisa, finally a voice reason, and thank you Karen Todd, I still don’t understand, if I am still paying maintenance to him until he is 20, do I still have legal parental responsibility, as can I still discuss his education with his school or college?
