What will happen if I move to Thailand?

October 6, 2013

Hi.

I’m unsure as to where I stand with the CSA and my payments if I move to Thailand with my new partner.

I currently work full time and have started to pay the X each month,We did have an agreement and when we settled our divorce I did give up my full entitlement in the proviso that she didn’t involve the CSA. hay ho 2 years later I now have the CSA on me, and that i feel is not fair.

I now intend to move to Thailand, and need some advice.

1. If i go to Thailand and don’t work, will i still have to pay the CSA?

2. Will I accrue arrears?

3. Is there a minimum that i have to pay?

I’m not looking to avoid my responsibility,But I left her the house and most of our pension, But she now wants more..This is so unfair!!!!!

Please Help me
Micky

They more than likely will not peruse you in Thailand. But you will incure arrears on what you earn so the moral of the story is keep your income to 0 or very little

  • Pb says:

If u move to Thailand and work for a British company then u will still be liable to pay. But if not then no, u will be out of British jurisdiction. Any arrears already accrued will remain on the case and if u return to the uk, the arrears can be collected, even if ur child is 50 years old when u come back!

Maybe it’s possible if they wanted to peruse the CSA owed the parent can contact immigration and prevent the visa from being renewed and therefore you can be sent back and black listed from Thailand

    Just a thought
