What percentage would my ex be entitled to?

Hi i am thinking of becoming self employed im on the sick at the moment but i am very depressed with been at home all the time im told the job i would do would earn me around £80 a week i have three children a 18 year old son a 14 year old son and a 8 year old daughter.

Could you let me know what percentage my ex wife would be entitled to and if there is any way i could put the payments into a trust fund account or simlar as if the payments go into my ex wifes account i feel she would spen the money on her self ive no problem paying for my kids as i love them just after some advice

i look forward to hearing from you

thanks alex

  1. Sounds a bit odd to do a job and earn £80 a week, but if that is what it is, then you would be liable for £5 a week under the current CSA scheme. However, if you were to be Self Employed it would not take a lot of working out to be £0 a week by the time you have done a Tax return, a simple claim for clothes and/or a mobile, meals or expenses etc would soon have your Taxable income to £0 and so your maintenance would also be £0.
