tell them to jog on . i told then when they try it with me i spoke to lawyer and HMRC they both told me to tell them NO cos they cant by law take from one kid to give to a never . That why HMRC want let them just take it they send out a standing order to fill in to get it .
no they cant take it from hmrc but with us they just took it out the wage instead it sucks
The CSA said the tax credits I claim for my mine and my husbands son is part of his earnings so they DO take it into consideration and DO take part of it
Well I’m the nrp and I don’t work my partner does ,I have children with new partner and they have asked for some of my child tax credit saying that’s my income ..told them to do one ,they can’t take it from hmrc directly and if they think I’m handing over money given to my kids that the government says they need to live off to give to others that already get their child tax credit they can think again
Hi Becky and Karen I’m in the same situation I said to csa how can u take my child tax credits and give it to someone else who is receiving it for there children and csa said because it’s law and they can so I’m working full time to make up the money I’m losing I would never dream taking another child’s money x
I’m in the same boat, I work I have 1 of my sons living with me and they take everything into consideration.. Disgusting!
I pay for my partner’s child from child tax credits, think it’s disgusting as my children go without as I’m the sole earner when his ex receives full tax credits, earns her wage & has a partner that earns too. My partner is too ill to work & as he was self employed he can’t receive benefits.
Im goin through the same thing i work part time n my partner doh i have 2 lads from a previous n one with my new partner she claims child tax n i get workin tax to top up my wages ive had numerous arguments over this they wanted £60 pw off us n u refuse to pay has it was to much now ive got balliffs knockin my door tellin me its bin passed over n the csa r still adding the £60 pw on top n theres no way we can afford it its stressin me out they are a disgrace n are not interested in helpin they just doh give a shit

If your partner doesn’t work the CSA can’t take out of your earnings as they are not your children Ang and not your responsibility. They may take a percentage of tax credits. Phone and find out as I’ve already had this conversation with them. Good luck 🙂
