Bankruptcy doesnt write off arrears.
Yep
U go on to flat rate plus arrears as ud have no employer if ur bankrupt neither no bank account as after bankruptcy ur not aloud a bank account or anything as such
And, yes they will keep chasing you for the arrears and the minute you have a job they will be after you again.
And if necessary they will try and bankrupt you again if you still don’t pay up. Quite simply they are not interested, they only want the maximum they can extort out of you.
Facts are – All CSA debt survives bankruptcy. the debt isn’t written off as other debt would be once you are discharged.
You can still work and your trustee will manage your finances.
You can have a bank account and some banks do accounts designed for bankrupts.
In my view its for you to weigh up if it is actually worth working. The system puts you in a position where maybe you are better off not to work.
Good luck with getting through it all
Don’t listen to some of these people. Of course you can have a job and a bank account as a bankrupt. What nonsense. How do you think you ciesrvyhe debts of the bankruptcy??
Some people should keep quiet, unless advising on subject they’re up to speed on!
