What happens to CSA if the ex is in prison?

June 8, 2015

Hi can you please tell me if am entitled to any payment for my son his father is in jail.

I work full time but find it a struggle on my own just wondering if am entitled to any sort of payment because it seems really unfair I have to provide for everything for my son and have to work full time to try and survive.

I don’t think there is anything you can get from him, he’s in prison with no proper income! No job no benefit so therefore nothing to hand over

You get the big fat zero! Maybe you should of tried an amicable solution with your ex- going thru csa isn’t helping you or him! csa will pay benefits before you get any money- if you get any at all.

Got something to say?
