Get a job
Your child’s father is legally obliged to pay child maintenance for him until he leaves full time education. It can be paid until the child is 20 if that’s the case
Lisa that is incorrect.
He is only obligated to pay while he is receiving a taxable income.
If he is considered a student, even if he earns £100k a year while he studies then he does not have to pay.
If he is self employed but not paying himself a taxable wage (hurray for doing your own books) then he does not have to pay.
Yes he does Ben via a variation
Firstly try and find out why and try the amicable way if that fails CSa can take it on
Instead of relying on your ex go get a job and provide for your kid
Where does it say she don’t work??? Exactly it doesn’t
Where does it say she works
Its the cms now, some people clueless
Why do 90% of the NRP’s on here assume that the PWC’s are just out for all they can get, it takes 2 to make a child and both should be responsible enough to provide for them
Amanda a variation is not a means of getting definite payments. My partners ex is a £50k + a year doctor but hasn’t paid in 9 years because he’s a “student”.
Bleed the NRP dry you lot!! Been hounded for 19 fuckin years and you fuck up at every opportunity.
If a child is in full time non advanced education after the age of 16 then child maintenance is still due.
Call child maintenance options for advice.
Perhaps they will also advise your ex husband.
Then maybe avoid the CMS.
The CMS will not rely on wage slips or employers information for income details.
They will go straight to HMRC so even a student doctor earning 50k a year will receive an assessment on CS3.
@ Amanda Johnson…yes indeed, where does it say she does work. Anyhow, far too many of you women see the good old ex as a means of supplying you yr in and yr out with an income.
Most of you don’t give a shit about about how the ex will live or how he is supposed to provide for his new family. He not allowed a life after the ex.
Anyway..if this woman relying so much on the good old ex’s money then she obviously had no back up plan….oh…here’s one for you…..get a bloody job or if you have one already? Ask for overtime or get another job on top of it. Lol
No I dont have any time for any of your sort, because you sure as hell have non for our sort lol
Gonk
@ Gail Newman
It may not be as high as 90% ………but sure as hell no lower than 75%
And as for for comment about both providing….that’s a fucking laugh. Where does the pwc provide ? When either she gets benefits left right and centre or a full time working partner or both.
What help does the Nrp that’s bled by her and the CMS ? Fucking great big fat ZERO
gonk
Hmmm lots of upset people..
Julie,
most NRP will willingly pay maintenance. Yes it is a joke that us NRP are now expected to pay ADULT MAINTENANCE … I would give this some serious thought… Did you get a realistic amount of maintenance for your child? I would call a serious amount £20 per week.. Please remember maintenance from your ex is towards the upkeep of your child… £20 per week from ex, £20 per week from you and £20 child allowance. Now I have two kids living with me and I know I do not spend £250 per child per month on them..£500 jointly..
Can you involve CSA anymore?. Is it now cms? I thought they would only get involved as a last resort.. They will encourage you to reach a private agreement.. PLEASE DO THIS… I have the t-shirt.. By all means suggest you may have to involve them if he won’t pay but believe me THEY WILL WRECK ANY RELATIONSHIP BOTH YOU AND MORE IMPORTANTLY YOUR SON HAS WITH HIS FATHER….. Please work it out privately…
