Three years on – CSA still investigating
My case started with the csa in 2003. i divorced my estranged violent ex-husband and he was asked to pay maintenance voluntarily but he wouldnt so the csa placed a deductions of earnings order on his salary. they said that i was entitled to 20% of his earnings due for my two kids. he works as a aerospace engineer and in the 6 years i remained married to him he had pay rises nearly every 6 months including bonuses and other perks related to his line of specialist work.
10 years later the amount of maintenance has NOT changed how can this be? particularly as i worked out his monthly salary from the maintenance payments and realised that the amount he was earning is not even a graduate beginners salary at the company he works for. i contacted his payroll section to try and ascertain the facts and then approached the csa with my findings. they are still INVESTIGATING it 3 years on??? i have had so many problems with the csa from the beginning of my case, missed payments, delays, lies, excuses, fobbed off. one particular year i received hardly any payments at all and nearly lost my home because was unable to keep up with the financial pressures of paying the bills and the mortgage and looking after the children. i have spent hundreds of pounds on phone calls and of course who benefits from these 08 numbers and calls made–the f***ing csa.
i have written letter after letter and then had to contact my MP who at the time sorted it out, but then within a matter of months after my MP’s intervention the problems started again with missing and delayed payments… the csa hardly ever write to inform you of what is going on with your case, im totally in the dark. they have infuriated me and made me ill with the stress and pressure of trying to get maintenance paid regularly and not when they feel like it. i find it very hard to believe that my ex is on the same salary he started with 16 years ago, surely the csa would have realised this by now, if they did their calculations correctly!! where is the excess money going??? iv heard that they have about a billion pounds in unpaid maintenance in their coffers..why is it that the inland revenue another govt agency are spot on with tax returns and calculations yet the csa cant seem to organise a pee up in a brewery.

If he is violent then he is void of csa… If he pays csa then hes not violent…
Had to but the word violent in. Still after all those years. Bitter old hag
Money grabbing skank ….
Andrew Jones you are right.
Was he violent or are you making this up?
Another greedy bitch crawls out of the woodwork.
what do you expect – you told the CSA he was violent so they do not have to act
The clerical officer lets your case goes to the bottom of the pile with the excuse you have given him/her – NRP violent and abusive.
ringing up his payroll department is stalking/harassment.
you shot yourself in the foot and as you have said he is violent he is not having contact?
another “victim” of DV reverts back to the “abuser”? just can’t help themselves.
you have told the world [and the csa] your ex is voilent and abusive.
the CSA are entitled to take you at your word.
they will therefore [and should not] put you, any children and themselves at risk – unless of course you misled everyone just to get rid of him and away from his children – they are his as well as yours – in which case you would now be more likely to be regarded as a child abuser.
on the latter point now that Wall & Thorpe & others have gone the senior courts recognise that parental responsibility also means the PWC encouraging a relationship between the children and NRP. the old days of Mothers turning up in court making up allegations are going – not only is it bad for children it eats up the legal aid budget.
