The CSA are a bunch of cowboys whom react as quickly as a snail!
I have paid my ex-wife voluntarily since our seperation in 2008 and this has worked fine, a bank transfer from my account to hers each month.
In November last, due to the divorce settlement not going as she’d hoped in court, she decided to engage the CSA out of spite.
I continued to pay her monthly until the end of January when the CSA jokers came on board, they have got an earnings order, so have kindly awarded her backpay of £500 from November and December WHICH I’D ALREADY PAID and have told them this, so I’ve had £1,300 deduected from my salary at source in the last two months, leaving me seriously short!!
I have written three complaint letters and have yet to receive anything concrete back apart from their 15 day holding letter……they are an absolute disgrace!!!!
They should NOT be allowed to just help themselves at source, it is criminal…..and if you try to call them you get no joy, it is like speaking to an emotionless robot!!
SOMETHING URGENTLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE CSA, THEY ARE ROBBING BASTARDS!!!!!

Try this it works everytime, they are a bunch of morons at the csa, make sure you get your data prints costs £10 but is worth the read for any cock ups they may have made, You may have been phoning and complaining to the CSA for a long time getting nowhere use this guide and you will see how quickly they respond. Please do excuse if I repeat the steps I have done this for a good reason. 1.Complain and Appeal and get your MP involved EMAIL the complaint and appeal copy everyone in.
2.Order your Data Prints by post and email.
3.Email all and sundry use the email list and email them every couple of days to remind them.
4.Not happy with data prints items missing Complain to ICO be sure to copy everyone in.
This is what you do immediately if you believe the CSA are taking too much from you! ■First thing you must do is make an official Complaint and Appeal *EMAIL THE COMPLAINT*and contact your MP and get them involved regarding your issues you are having with the CSA. Mention that you believe that they have made an Official Error. Ask the CSA for the decision to be set aside as they are not leaving you enough to live on and is going to cause you an injustice. This is based upon Regulation 55 of the Child Support Act (Maintenance Assessment Procedure) 1992 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1992/1813/made Attach a copy of ALL your outgoings, even the things the CSA don’t allow for.

Paul:- Sounds to me like you have overpaid by £300 already.
If arrears for Nov & Dec is £500 .’. £250 per month. Nov, Dec, Jan & Feb = 4*£250 = £1000.
Call and demand they confirm direct payments for Nov, Dec & Jan with the PWC and ask for a full refund.

My partner is in a similar situation. the csa are recovering £4000 from him which he has already paid between 2003 2004 via bank transfers to his ex. She decided to inform them that he did not pay to be spiteful, they took her word with no evidence of this and now he has received a court order on his wages for £165 per month until its paid!! He has no notice from the csa that they had placed a court order on his wages therefore we have no idea what to do now, as he cannot get bank statements to prove payments as it is over 7 years ago. anyone help??
w thompson:- You should be able to get computer generated statements for the life time of your account, at cost. Enquire at your local branch. Deja vue.
The best way to get all this info is by applying for your Data Prints, they cost £10

Date NI number CSA Case Ref I am requesting you to send me the information to which I am entitled to under Section 7(1) of the Data Protection Act 1998. I request ALL computer and clerical records and recordings of telephone calls emails etc to which I am entitled, and would ask that the notepad sections of the computer files are dated. As you are aware you have 40 consecutive days upon receipt of my request to furnish me with the information I require. If you need further information from me, or a fee, please let me know as soon as possible. If you do not normally handle these requests for your organisation, please pass this letter to your Data Protection Officer or another appropriate official. Yours sincerely
Hopefully this will show all payments made and all corespondance you have ever had with CSA, this also shows lies and ficticous arrears and the way your case has been handled previously which you can then make a formal complaint about, good luck
W Thompson:- Your data prints from the CSA will not show payments made direct to the PWC, that is why you need your bank statements.
If you add to the letter saying you want statements of all payments sent in with your data prints they will also include this, I did and it worked, as well as all payment schedules with dates to and from and the person who had actioned this,
W Thompson: Just remember the direct payments that the PWC has already denied will not be anywhere shown on the CSA records.
