The nightmare called CSA

Hi well where do you start with the nightmare called CSA? I’m assessed by the old system have tried for years to get fair assessment that actually left me with money to pay my bills and put food on my table . The CSA have assessed my wage first time with a protected income then without, now its on standing order. These people who work in the CSA must get the job on how incompetent they can be.

You phone ask for paper work to be sent I was point blankly refuse a copy of my assessment and the excuse they gave was you got other letters so were I’m not sending you a copy but I will pass it to my collegue who might do this. I ask for his supervisor which he refuse to pass me to them I believe it is my right to ask and to speak to there manager and it should not be refused by any member of staff with the CSA is this true?

  1. Andrea is correct. NEVER communicate over the phone with these people. I simply wrote to tell them I was changing my job but I recorded delivered the letter, also emailed it to them as well and copied my local MP and purely based on what a read on this site about their antics.
I could not believe how helpful and responsive they were because id wrote and included my mp. and THEY rang me on SEVERAL occasions to keep me up to date with things. I even got a DEO lifted at the drop of a hat in favour of Direct debit.I have to take on-board that this happened because of the tough approach ???
    Gonk

  2. Never, ever deal with the CSA by phone, only in writing by post.
Keep in date order every letter you receive and copy of your reply.
This is invaluable if you have to make a complaint or legal action starts.

You wouldn’t agree to a financial deal over the phone and not in writing, so why do it with the CSA?

  3. I’m also on CSA1 and have been in the CSA system since the beginning.
I agree with everything you say about this corrupt organisation.
Follow the advice given on here.
Regarding recording phone calls. I have previously read, that the CSA have a system in place that you can’t actually record any of the phone conversations you have with them ?, so only deal with them by recorded mail and email. Email your MP into all correspondence you send them.
