The kids are grown up so why kick up a fuss?
Im somwhat supprized to recive a demand for alledged child support arreas that goes back 15 years when my then 14 year old son moved in with me my 12 year old daughter remained with her mother.
How is it that I should be paying the mother for my daughter while she pays nothing for her son? We were both working & both reciveing family credit.
So I don,t understand why they say I should pay but not her & to dig this up after 15 years what is the point the kids are grown up.

Sorry to hear about your predicament.
The best approach is this: See the CSA as a dysfunctional agency eager to suck it to the fathers, take a deep breath and accept that you have to fight them. Get all your evidence in order
If you don’t, your ex will seek to lash out at you at any time she feels bitter or resentful.
As you can see, time doesn’t heal some people’s bitterness.

Sounds like they could be calculating from past increases in income. Something which the csa are renowned for doing. There supposed to take yearly increases but normally don’t untill the case is coming to an end. Basically you need your data file. Then get an accountant to so the figures. Then you make an official complaint. You could counter act this by demanding they look into your claim for past payments.
The csa should be abolished.

@ Amanda. Here’s a question for you: Does his ex owe him as well, seeing as they had a child each in their care and were both collecting the Child Benefits? Or are you one of those ONE RULE FOR THE FATHERS ANOTHER RULE FOR THE MOTHERS type person?

I think you are right way sould you pay when the mother as not . I am going through the same with my ex husband for 16 and half year he not paid me fof his child but now she gone to live with him he want my money makes me sick .

@Gonk, Amanda has multiple kids to different fathers, doesn’t work and think the world owes her a few quid, her profile pic on Facebook says it all, fat jobless waste of space, I ignore people like her, they only see pound signs, I don’t think this guy should have to pay a bill for historical arrears, just shows the CSA get it wrong again on many levels, he needs to fight for what’s right and by applying for his data file and getting his mp on board will again show what this abhorrent place really does to people

People knock and moan about the foriegners taking our jobs but there are loads of pols working where I work and all the young females have kids but still bloody work hard and juggle the job round them…2 I know stayed at worked right to the end of their pregnancy almost.
Some of these layabout mothers who use the kids as an excuse not to work, should take a leaf out of these girls book…they are living proof that where there’s a will ,there’s a way. Lazy fat cows, my ex being one of them. Spent all her life so far going from one bloke to the next knocking out kids and then moving to the next host like a tick once she bled them for what she can.
