The CSA sure knows how to make people suicidal

i have been receiving child support for six years from my ex partner for my 2 girls. Two years i was on benefit and only received £10 of it, then i worked for 2 years and received the full amount. Then in 2008, i moved in with my partner, still not on benefit, i stopped getting payments november 2011 because my daughter came out of full time education.

I had a phone call at 8 oclock at night stating he was from CSA, saying ive been payed too much cos ive been on benefit,i reply so how much, he then replies 9,138,00 pounds, but ive not been on benefit. He says well, it will be recoverd. I dont think so, im getting intouch with my local mp, the joke is i have no supporting evidence cos i got rid of it all cos it closed in 2011.

Funny thing is, my ex partner has had a phone call also to say he has not payed enough, and he owes them over 9,ooo also. Something is not right somewhere in this system, they sure know how to make people suicidal.

  1. Dawn,

I agree with the above, you should obtain confirmation regarding the dates you were in receipt of benefits.

A full benefit disregard was introduced in April 2010, meaning all PWC in receipt of benefits could keep the CSA paid by the child’s non resident parent.
