The CSA have just let the arrears build up with no notice whatsoever
I received a phone last Friday out of the blue from the CSA now i am told that i am in £2787.29 arrears, no letter stating that i am starting to accumulate these arrears, no letter saying that this is how much i am in arrears. I have made private payments but have been told to stop because this is messing up their payment schedule but the longer i wait, the more i owe so i’ve just made a private payment again.
What are my rights? should i have had a comprehensive breakdown of all owed when they started to accumulate via letter or call? Can i fight this decision?
What do i do ? Rather than just letting things build up to this point i thought it would be their duty to apply notifications. If i knew i was in arrears i would have payed the thing not let it build up to nearly 3k

Request a full explanation in writing… never, ever deal with these idiots over the phone: you’ll be wasting your time and never get the same answer twice. Once you have all your documentation, appeal.
hi mate, this is the same old story, they mess up then mess up again and sorry to say but the law is on their side, i had arrears built up even though i had statements from them and signed reciepts from ex wife that even stated i was up to date, four years ago we made a private agreement and come away from csa with an end closing balance of 50. four years later she went back to csa for some unknown reason, they re opened the account with an opening balance of 355. so where did 305 come from? they cant answer that, ex wife gave me reciepts based on csa calculator and proved i paid her, since sept iv been paying direct to csa sending them a cheque instead of her cos she chose it that way. and i work out wat i owe via their own calculator every month i pay them the arrears go up wtf but yeah my arrears are now 600. iv been to solicitors and MPs but nothing seems to get sorted. good luck mate hope you get it sorted and if you do share how you done it cos millions of dads are in the same boat.
That’s what they did to me to we reopened your case 8 months ago me why didn’t you tell me CSA we don’t know WTF
George:- Ask for a full account breakdown.
Get the PWC to call them and say they have agreed to receive payments directly from you.
Do not pay directly to the PWC until a direct payment agreement is in place.
If you have paid directly send copies of receipts or other evidence to the CSA, as proof of payment, recorded delivery.
If you pay directly and the CSA think you are supposed to pay through them it will only add to the arrears.

Chris Jones, in the first line of your comment you say the CSA mess up then mess up again.
I think it would be more appropriate to say the CSA stitch up then stitch up again.

Like I’ve been saying for a while now they are the biggest file fixing operation on the planet.
We all have the disappearing paperwork syndrome,we’ve all got the phantom arrears on our cases and we’ve all got the liability orders as a result of both of them.
The file fixing doesn’t come any plainer than this, I would expect soon you will receive a court summons for these phantom arrears and the judge will grant the c.s.a the liability order no matter how much proof you produce as that’s why no one ever hears about these phantom arrears until they have cooked the books enough to know that the amount is high enough for them walk away with the liability order.
You’ll probably also be told no need for you to appear at court as they have the liability order on you, which just proves that liability orders can be predicted.
When I was hit with the phantom arrears I was told no need to appear at court but thought no i’m going to fight my corner because I don’t owe these, I may as well of stayed at home.
When I asked the c.s.a representative that day why was I not notified earlier of these phantom arrears.
She replied if the c.s.a applied for a liability order for a small amount of arrears they wouldn’t be granted it BUT if they applied for one with arrears of three thousand plus the judge automatically grants them it for a high level of arrears that’s why we are all told no need to go to court.
Well my case is either finished or just about finished as the bailiff collecting for the c.s.a is now starting to return my payments
Only I’m going through my M.P for a letter off the c.s.a stating that its all over and nothing left to pay but in my e-mail i’m going to have my say about how strange it is that not only mine but everyone else’s paperwork disappears, we are all hit with phantom arrears, we are all told no need to appear at court, and all the other file fixing things that they get up to and see what his reply is well I’ve got nothing to loose
My file has been tampered with too, it is unbelievable they can get away with this but do as our lazy MP’s let them, ICE is an out and out crook and it can only happen in Britain. corrupt to the core get your data prints and ask for them every 12 months then you can see what depths they will stoop to con you out of money that should be paid by the arseholes they can not catch up with.
