The CSA have done nothing in seven months

Hi.. My daughters dad has stopped all contact with my daughter and payments since having a new girlfriend (one of many) I contacted Csa and told them this as I was already with them as a mutual payment agreement between me and my daughters dad. Since then (about 7 months ago) Csa have done nothing..

They never contact me either it’s always me contacting them! They told me they have had no reply of him to there letters and phone calls. They even asked me if I knew where he worked so I told them what I thought I new and still nothing!! He is self employed aswell though so I’m thinking is this the problem?? Or is there something else Csa can do to get him to pay up? He ignores all my calls and as far as I no he’s living with his new girlfriend, working over 40 hours a week and drives a car!!! As you can imagine I’m not happy’!! Any advice would be much appreciated… Thanks

  1. If hes self employed you will get the ‘flat rate’ of 5 per week as long as hes got a savvy accountant doing his books. You are going to alot of trouble and hassle to gain £20 per month, i would save your phone bill and admit defeat.

  2. Write to the csa and find out what the delay is….if he’s self employed they could be waiting on his tax records and give them a set date to reply to you.

Corryn is correct with clever accounting he could say he’s earning less. Have you tried speaking to him and cut out the dreaded csa altogether?

And what he does with his life, i.e girlfriends etc is his business, you only need to concern yourself with your son

  3. Daughter Jo, not son! I guess on this forum only NRP’s are allowed to moan about their ex. Melanie, you best not expect too much from the CSA who are pretty much useless. I logged all my calls to them to chase a similar deadbeat. I think the last call was 140 calls and three complaints. Still while my step children were aged 3- 19 they only got £5 during periods while their useless dad was alledgedly unemployed. Meanwhile he was boasting on LinkedIN what a successful ‘exhilarating’ ‘motivational’ manager he was. So check out that web site http://www.linkedin.com, do a search on him and if you find his profile print it out and send it to the CSA as a complaint. It helped in my case but sadly only towards £12,000 of built up arrears now the kids are in their mid twenties and support themselves. Still it will pay for my step daughters wedding, so that’s some justice I guess.
