The people on the end of the phone are not the problem… as much as they annoy us… the problem is the government who set this thing up as a quango to avoid taking responsibility. At the end of the day, the CSA is just a rotten system… it looks fine from the outside, but once you are inside it, you see that there is no logic, consistency or purpose to it other than to take as much money off you as possible and give it to somebody else. Many times they are just making it up as they go along… you can call twice and get different answers, you can get a threatening letter that sends you mental only to call and be told it was a mistake.
Find a way to stop paying, like me. As soon as the CSA were introduced I didnt see my little girl anymore. This is a hard time of year for us loving fathers who dont get to give their child a hug, gift or say I love you, especially on Christmas day. Stay strong dads but I know its not easy.

We need all these dads groups to get off their asses arrange a mass rally and get the message out there!! Like cash machines dads are beginning to get to the point of no withdrawal!!
Think in some cases it’s the pwc who are the b*stards and csa just follow legislation.
She cannot stop you from contact unless there is abuse, if you can’t mediate then go straight for a contact order from the local courts.
Does your son live with you? If he does have the csa reduced % that you have to pay?

Matt, I think you being denied access is not fair. CSA staff is working on a petition to propose some way to fix this. Just like the US founding fathers refused to pay taxes to the King of England. No taxation without representation they said! Things like travel costs to see your kids and to go to work should be put into any new formula to make things more fair between NRPS and PWCs.
However Tim Marshall is deluded when he says that the government set this thing up as a quango to avoid taking responsibility. The government doesn’t make babies. There were just too many idiots who thought that they could father children and then move on to the next relationship and have some more, while taxpayers are left to foot the bill for their irresponsible behaviour.
Unfortunately the government created the CSA in some unemployment hotspot and employed idiots that would never survive in a real job. That’s why its still costs the taxpayer 40 pence out of every pound the CSA disperses and parents with care are treated just as bad as NRPs. And its people who think like Tim Marshall we can all be grateful to for getting us in this fine mess.
