The CSA are going to bring us into poverty
My husband has been contacted by the csa, they have demanded that my husband pay so much money to his ex wife for their daughter that he has no contact with, the csa has told my husband how much he has got to pay a week, and we cant afford it as we have 3 young children, my husband is not saying that he wont pay, but he wants to pay a reasonable amount, so that we can live as well, they said no.
So we went to john cruddas, and even he hasn’t help much neither, so now because of the csa we are going to be brought into poverty, but that’s ok as long as the other child happy, my husband don’t even know if the kid is his, but even then we cant afford to get a dna done, the csa are a waste of space, how do u justify making one child happy, and bring 3 kids into poverty, this country is well and truly screwed up

Before you start paying, demand a DNA test as you’re questioning paternity. Me and my partner have lost everything because of the amount we have to pay his ex even though we have 2 children at home. They screwed us over massively, Ben Wiskin, this sounds so familiar doesn’t it.
The csa don’t care about your situation or your children, only what you earn so forget trying to go for sympathy, it’s doesn’t work.
Prove paternity and take it from there but generally speaking if they destroy you financially and ruin your families stability then they will see it as a job well done.
They don’t care at all. My husband is a sub contractor, sometimes only earning200 a week before tax, we have my 9 year old and a 3n2 year old together, our rent is 800 a month, and they want 70 a week, they take my eldest tax credits and child benefit into account, and don’t give a stuff about what we have to pay for. We’re in about 20k of debt and they just don’t give a stuff. Unfortunately.X

now. whet is little knownnis that you can pay arrears at a lower amount. the csa give it the bull shit that they want debt recovered within 6 years. yet sometimes wait 8 years before they send you a letter.
you have to writev to them and suggest an amount that you can pay.
they in response cn reject the agreement but it will be a matter of to in and fro in. until a reasonable amoungt is agreed.
interestingly if they refuse it could be refered to the parliametary ombudsman
