Struggling to keep up as I get no help at all

January 6, 2014

I am a mother of 3 children (all boys) i have been paying csa payments for my first 2 boys who live in another part of britain for 7 years now and my youngest boy lives with me and my husband of 8 years. i get no help at all apart from what i earn in self employment and managed to find the money to tyravel up north once a month and pay to stay in a hotel with them.

This has been going on for 8 years too! i also have them for the whole of the 6 weeks holidays at home in london and 1 week in easter and 1 week at christmas holidays.

I still get no help and am currently struggling to keep up as work is slow and my husband was made redundant last year, but we still manage to keep up with our visits and still have the kids for holidays.

We now earn (jointly) about 10 grand a year.

So u only earn 5000 a year alone and ur husband also earns 5000. I think tbh ur career options may need looking at. I’m a single parent with one child and I doubt 5000 a year would get me thru 5months after tax and rent they alone come to just over 1k a month. No offence to u but wudnt u get more if u was on benefits. And with an income so low don’t u receive working tax credits? At an extra income of a couple of grand a year? And child benefit?

Got something to say?
