Shouldn’t the CSA be investigating my ex?

January 14, 2014

I have just received a letter from the c.s.a. saying i have to pay £800 per month to my ex girlfriend for our two children, but she can still get all her benefits such as housing benefit, council tax, child tax credits and she works part-time.

This doesnt seem right, she has always claimed benefits unawares to me,the only reason i no this is because i have taken her to court for parental responsibility as she wouldnt let me see the children,i took her to court to get access to see them, surely she should be investigated as to why she has never told them about me ? thanks

The rules changed back in 2010, she still gets to keep all benefits. Absolutely disgraceful, especially when NRP struggle so much. My husband pays £975 for one child and the PWC keeps all benefits etc, so in effect paying twice!!

It’s because CSa isn’t a guaranteed income as most Nrp default

System is totally screwed up my ex is on benefits new Mercedes and goes on holiday twice a year and to be honest I must pay for the new car and holiday’s absolutely scunners me why do they seem to get everything the extra money they get should be taken into account money grabbing sponges takes two and when doesnt work out the nrp is penalised.

My ex has a take home of £3200 a month with my payments and benefits! That is ridiculous for not working for a living! Makes me sick when I live hand to mouth and I struggle to feed my kids at the weekends when I have them!

Most NRP do not default as it comes direct from their wages. The law states on benefit you need x amount of £’s to bring a child up but the CSA limit has no bounds. Wrong totally wrong CSA is to support a child not their mother and anyone else who should also be in that household. The system is corrupt and goes for the easy targets.
