Short changed by the CSA since they got involved

January 26, 2013

Nothing but trouble!

My ex husband has lied continuously about shared care, and been believed; for OVER A YEAR! I have always disputed his claims over shared care and after keeping a record for the first 6 months I contacted the CSA to update them. Because he is employed within an a Government Authority, apparently his version of the truth is more believable than fact so I continued contesting it for another 6-8 months. Eventually after reviews and stringing it out for as long as possible, the case went to Tribunal earlier this month. The evil swine was stating that he had the two children for 3 nights per week when in fact it was only 1!

I had a court order, photographic copies of text messages he had sent confirming dates and times as well as photos of the children in my care on dates he claimed to have had them. All he had as ‘proof’ was a set of dates hand written on some note paper. Even with all of my (costly) phone calls, information provided to the CSA and hard evidence, his claims were upheld and no reimbursement was awarded. The man is an absolute liar and is denying his children whilst claiming that I am ‘greedy for seeking more money.’

Now, even though he is in a 30k+ a year job (massive income for where we are in the country), because he has moved in with and had a child with a widow, he no longer has to support his children from before. He officially is required to pay £0 per week for his two children, one of whom is disabled. CSA and indeed the pig of a man don’t seem to understand that for me it’s the principle; I couldn’t care less about the amount of money, it is about providing for your children!

My ex believes that because the money is received by me that it is spent on me, he has no idea how much it costs to raise the children and now they are going to have to go without even more than he was denying them before! The best bit….he could have access to the children as much as he wants but now he has a new family, he barely see’s my children, less than once a week so he isn’t providing for them in any way at all really.

The beauty of it all is that I was reluctant to get CSA involved but was forced to use them when I was held to ransom every month so that I could be bullied by my controlling ex.

Now that they are involved I, more importantly the children have been massively short changed and even after going through the stress of pursuing this for over a year hasn’t got me anywhere. If it wasn’t for the fact that my husband and I have to deal with his ex wife (who is even more of a nightmare than my ex husband regarding the children); I think the whole CSA situation would be enough to finish me off!

As it stands it is all so unequal and unjustified; I accept that we will continue to get shafted by these reprehensible so and so’s and the agencies that are supposed to enforce and support parents on both sides of the fence and one day, hopefully, they will all get what they deserve….Those who sow in flames, in ashes they shall reap and all that.

    Mrs James,

When did your case commence, before, on or after 03/03/03?

If your case is calculated on old rules, have you considered completely closing it for 13 weeks and then reopening it on current rules?

Dave – your comment is a perfect example of why your complaints about the CSA are not taken seriously.

When there are stories of men being screwed over, the CSA is unjust, unfair and evil and the workers are spoken about with misogynistic fury.

If its a woman being screwed over, that’s “karma”.

Your moronic statements destroy your cause – if it’s a corrupt agency, there will be both men and women that suffer as a result of their behaviour. This proves it has nothing to do with the CSA for you – it’s pure, bitter misogyny.

If you want the world to believe that the CSA is an enormous problem, attack the agency, not just the women who use it since there are plenty of women who are victims of it.

Dave…… at what point was any spite dished out? All I have ever done is try to get my ex to support his children. The fact that he is not man enough to do that honestly without direction from a Government Agency’s direction is surely a reflection on his character, not mine. I find your comments insulting, ignorant and agree that they are misogynistic. One day it could be your child could be in my position, I wonder if you would feel the same way then?

Hello, while I do have some empathy with your statement you yourself are ‘in danger’ of accusations of sexism. What I mean is that your statement about who suffers doesn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that in fact ‘both men AND women DO suffer at the hands of this agency. NRP’s are often the victims of incorrect calculations and PWC’s often don’t get the money that IS collected.
Secondly you forget that there are plenty of men (as well as women) who are the victims. Lets not forget that men and women can be PWC’s and/or NRP’s.

Mrs James on January 28th, 2013 The fact that he is not man enough to do that honestly without direction from a Government Agency’s direction is surely a reflection on his character, not mine.

Hello, you could well be right about your ex’s character. But you seem to think that a government agency is ‘the answer’ while at the same time in your original post you mention that your ex works for a government authority – “Because he is employed within an a Government Authority, apparently his version of the truth is more believable than fact so I continued contesting it for another 6-8 months.” as though this is the reason for the failings of the ‘government agency’ who’s ‘direction’ you are relying on to control your ex’s behaviour.

Whatever the failings of your ex (and I won’t argue that they may be many) you should look around this forum and see the multitude of failings of the csa which has been in operation since 1993 (I think).

You are not alone, mums and dads, NRP’s and PWC’s are all suffering at the hands of this discredited organisation.

I hope you sort your situation out.

Meantime you can always complain about the way your case has been handled, just don’t give up.

Don’t deal with the csa by phone, everything in writing, sent recorded, keep the receipts.

Copy your MP into everything and try and get them involved as your advocate.
Make a formal complaint about any decision you are unhappy with from the outset as time limits are involved. Always go for an appeal tribunal asap following the internal process.

Get a copy of your Data Protection prints from the outset so you know what you are dealing with, again follow the correct procedure in wording your request to get ALL information, send it to the right department, send the correct fee.

Don’t be afraid to complain about any csa staff, or their superiors if you feel you have just cause.

Remember the process, internal complaint, ‘independent’ case examiner (the csa protection department), appeals tribunal, parliamentry and health service ombudsman through your mp for maladministration

    Well said Unbelievable!,

There does appear to be a minority on here at the moment who’s main aim appears to insult and offend other’s.

Indeed, you are correct when you state such comments are exactly why complaints are not taken seriously.
Unfortunately, it appears such ‘members’ are incapable of accepting PWC experiences with any respect.

It is a shame for the majority of male members who genuinely suffer at the hands of the CSA, who do accept that the CSA can fail either party, that such individuals ensure that nothing much will ever change.

The lot of you speak utter drivel, the whole agency is a misandrists fantasy designed to bully and break down good fathers who want to pay for their kids but find themselves bankrupt by greedy hateful mothers using this facrical government department as a hitting stick.

Yet you bunch of moaners bang on about misogyny using the age old excuse of feminazis everywhere to get what they want when they want and screw the other 50% of the population.
Feminism – the only equality movement which deals exclusively with only one gender. Utter sexists the lot of you.

And to the OP; you don’t care how much he pays??? Pull the other one, you call him a pig as though thats perfectly right. You sound bitter and angry he’s got another family and you can’t move on. Get a life and stop using your kids as weapons against their dad you hag!
