Royal Air Force versus CSA

August 14, 2011

I put in a claim for child support back in March 2011. At the time I was told it would take up to 12 weeks to receive the first payment.

My ex husband ignored the letters he was sent, and wouldnt pick up the phone when the CSA called him. Good indication he didnt want to pay!

In July I received the first payment, plus some of the arrears. In August, no money arrived. I contacted the CSA who told me that my ex husbands employer, the Royal Air Force, were going to be requested to deduct the money from his wages, but this could take up to 3 months. In the meantime, they couldnt do anything else as they have to follow procedures.

I contacted the RAF who told me that it is up to the CSA to chase it up. CSA say they cant.

So here I am on a very low wage, although I work fulltime, trying to support my 2 children myself, whilst my ex husband is laughing, and the CSA and RAF are sitting around doing nothing.

By the time this is sorted out, 8 months will have passed from the date I made the claim and I am having trouble paying my rent and bills.

Has anybody been in this situation? Can anybody advise me on what to do please?

you don’t have to use the CSA. they are completely useless TWATS… they have put me in a shed, whilst my ex-wife is living it up in France on my efforts!!!!

I agree with the first reply try contacting him yourself and forget these horrible or maybe ask the CSA for one of the hardest case workers and I am sure they will do something for you.

My ex partner was bullied and tormended by one of the worse horrible mannered, bully we have ever come accross at the CSA. They took his home from underneath him after pulling a figure out of the sky.

Getting these horrible people involved destroys lives

Unfortunately, welcome to the club of those who have involvement with the shambles known as CSA!

As Lyn and Karl say, do everything you can to avoid CSA involvement. They are government spies, who will begin to disrupt your life with mind games and cause you to be frustrated and angry, because they are useless!

I am talking from experiences as both a PWC and an NRP!
