Received SSP when I was off ill and the CSA has demanded full payment for the period
I am having issues with the CSA and was hoping for some advise before I call them and hit the roof.
I have been dealing with the CSA for the last 18 months with no issues, I have one child and pay £315 a month which is correct as per my last assessment.
In September 2012 I suffered a Spinal trauma and had to undergo 3 lots of spinal surgery. For the first 3 months (October, November and December) I recieved a full salary from my employer so the payments to the CSA continued as usual. In January I began receiving SSP at £85.85 a week so I contacted the CSA to inform them. I was told I would be reassessed and my payments would stop until I returned to work. I was asked to send a payslip to them to confirm the receipt of SSP which I did, I heard nothing from the CSA in writing or by telephone as assumed everything was fine.
I have now returned to work and recieved my first payslip today and to my amazement the CSA have deducted £945 from my salary! Now I am assuming this is for the last 3 months of payments, however I was informed due to being on SSP I wouldn’t be liable for these payments.
Am I correct in my understanding? Where do I proceed from here? To date I have not recieved any correspondence from the CSA by telephone or post.
Advice is much appreciated.

On SSP of £85.85 per week, your payment should have been £5 per week, but you must remember that dealings with the CSA are dealings with the lowest form of SCUM on this planet, they will lie, deceive and rape your salary, all they care about is getting the maximum amount of money off you that they can
Its about time all this went public to show ppl how these idiots work , they need tobe exposed asap.

If you have received no further contact from the agency since your payslips were returned it sounds like the CoC regarding your SSP has not been processed, contact the agency and ask for this to be done now, once the change has been applied to your case there will be an automatic adjustment to the figures.
Now they have taken your payment and left you without they wont go out of there way to help you, the CSA only care for one thing, meeting targets to get those lovely bonuses, The staff are lazy incompetent and couldt organise a piss up in a brewery if they tried,
