Payments from CSA take 28 days
I seperated from ex 7 yrs ago, it took 6 yrs to get a payment as him and his boss kept coming up with storys which i knew werent true, and he kept moving.
They both have been warned three times bout sending in the payment on time and the correct amount which every month im still having to ring up and chase. I got told after three warnings they would go to court, which still hasnt happened and still i have to chase them up.
He still misses some payments or i get it late which i dont understand how that happens as its ment to come from his wages. I’m fed up having to keep chasing my money, and him trying to get out of paying it. I think more needs to be done and also when the csa collect it, it takes them forever to put money into my account. Its a press of a button but seems to take up to 28 days.
It’s bad enough waiting for my ex to put it in without waiting for csa aswel …sort it please….a frustreated and fed up mum!

“my money” sums it up I suppose. It’s your childs money, not yours. The only reason he’s avoiding is it’s probable too much, it s quite simple. I pay through the nose, to the point of being nearly homeless, so I can understand what he’s feeling. if the money goes directly to the children, then fine, but as most PWC’s have “lifestyle” off the back of payments, then I’m not suprised he’s trying to avoid it.
Mind you, I will agree with you that the CSA are a bunch of wa*****. – that we can agree on.
Try taking a different dialogue with him & you might find things a bit smoother.
Well said they all seem to forget what the money is for and yes payments are too high especially if you have a family at home who would think they had won the lottery if we gave em £230 each rather than – nothing. You don’t know your born love! !
Maybe the answer is for the CSA to pay PWC in vouchers,Tesco,ASDA etc so the money is not fretted away on lifestyle (SkyTV, clothes,etc) but on basics.
Not a perfect idea but better that the present one.
I pay by cheque and I often wonder how soon my ex wife gets the money and how much.
The CSA are just another example of public sector jobsworths.
