Paying CSA for 16 year-old daughter, who is pregnent herself
I have a complex case, in that I have two ex’s with two children with each of them.
My first wife took me to CSA they informed me that although I have an agreement with my second wife they won’t take that into consideration, so my second wife also went to the CSA.
The CSA informed me my weekly payment. And that I had arrears that would take 6-9 months to clear off. I requested that the money be taken stright from my wages.
I have just had a reassessment carried out as I have changed roles they now say that I owe over £3,000 in back pay and would add it to my weekly payments.
I work as a temp, so if I take tiome off sick I don’;t get paid but still have to pay the same amount.
I’ve requsted to be sent the information they used to work out what I should pay,but so far have not received anything from them. next I will hit them with a SAR.
By the time I pay my rent, council tax and the normal stuff I am left with less to live on than I pay out on CSA.
My oldest daughter (16) is now pregnent but has said she wants to return to school after she has had it, so I still have to my CSA for her even though she will be claiming benifits.

I’m not sure where child benefit stands here, as cs is owed if child benefit is being claimed by the pwc….so my advice is ring child benefit and see where you stand. Your daughter also needs to stay in full time education for child benefit to be paid or signed onto a connexions programme…child benefit can be stopped and then resumed until your child is 19 and in education or a specific apprenticeship defined in the child benefit guidelines. Good luck.
