Paying CSA after 22 years
I recieved a letter off CSA to tell me they were taking £600 off my £1200 wage a month after 22 years of spliting from my ex partner, who didnt want anything from me at the time, just a straightforward split. I understand and I am not avoiding the issue of not paying my dues for the children in which I never see, even though they are in there 20’s.
It’s the fact that I just cant live and feed my self properly being a diabetic on medication. All I have asked for is for the CSA to lower the payments so I can live even just a little better. I was also told the ex never gets the money, as this goes into the govenments pot!
My new partner has now left me as I cannot provide a future for us, let alone live myself! Where do people go from here?

Why are they now only chasing you after all this time?
Have you been avoiding them?
Youe ex DOES get the money now as since april all csa payments go to parent with care they must be arrears so they are within right to take it
would this still have been an issue if you were paying the maintenance as a good parent should when they were……..I don’t know…..CHILDREN!!
You owe your ex partner big money now!
